Magmarock: Why has this post got such a low rating?
avatar
Gonchi: Because internet arguments.
SJW's?
so the question is now SOLVED, is the game finally coming to GOG?

I doubt it, more that people are sick of hearing about Hatred here.

Unless GOG has changed it's mind which has happened before, no it's not

It's been marked solved for ages.

If you look at the solution, GOG said they wanted to see a final build before agreeing to anything. After seeing the final build they decided not to sell it. So yes, it's solved.

Pretty simple.

I would like to know what they did not like about the final build. Was it unstable? Was it buggy? Why would they reject the game? It is a Postal clone, no big deal.
low rated

It just seems so over-hyped.
Why would I want to play a game that seems to only have one thing that MIGHT be interesting?
So tired of the hype system gaming has become. Thank fuck for Gog and actual good OLD games.

Daikatana is relatively old, and prior to its launch, the hype was significant. :P

Oh Im not saying hype didn't exist in the old days. Hell, E.T.?
Any disney game from the 90s.
Any star trek/star wars games.
Hyped to hell.

Just seems more prevalent now. I could just be using rose colored glasses of course

Terrible optimization and the game is just no fun.
You won't ever find out what GOG thought about it in detail though. :P

In fact I have heard Daikatana is not even that good.
Hehe, anyone remember how consoles were hyped based on their bit? JAGUAR 64 BIT. COUNT IT 64 BIT!!! THATS MORE THEN 16!!! OMFGBQBQ!!!!

Yes hype did exist back in the day but it feels like it's much more "calculated" today, like they will start a year in advance, pay of magazines etc etc..

Back in the day they just made cheezy commercials.

This is it. Multiple areas of entertainment and massive amounts of money are involved in "hype" these days.
I guess with the creation of the internet everything has change though.

Oh yes, the hype for Star Wars Rebel Assault was so gigantic, i mean people even ran out and bought expensive (several hundred bucks back in the day!) CD-Rom drives for just this one game and then all you got was a very crappy rail shooter with bad colision detection, bugs and pixelated videos that were hyped as the most revolutionary thing ever seen on a PC. I think no gaming magazine even dared to give this "game" a bad rating

I think that's only because of the internet and forums where people discuss, so you see a lot more hype then back then.
Though i drop this: Rise of the Robots.
Anybody who lived in the early to mid 90's probably remembers how each and every gaming magazine hyped this game to the moon for several months with no end. "The best graphics ever!" (well the PC SVGA graphic was impressive), "the best most realistic animations!", "music by brian may from queen!" (which ended up being one riff played in the title screen) and how the AI adapts itself to the player (note: it never did), how every AI character plays diffferent (they didn't), how every character has a ton of special moves (every character had 1 punch, 1 kick, 1 special move) and whatever else they gloriously hyped as "this game is going to make you forget Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat!"
It was probably the absolute biggest hype ever and it all crashed down once it got released and people realized it was one of the worst games of all time.

You have the right to ask, but they also have the right to not say anything. They don't have to justify themselves in what they sell in their own store. Time to move on folks, they'll tell you if they want to.
