Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

DazBoots: So, can you actually launch steam games through the galaxy launcher?
avatar
toxicTom: In Galaxy 2.0 you can. I can't... since I don't have Steam account though...

Of course when launching some Steam, Origin, UPlay or Epic game through Galaxy, the "other" client will launch too, because DRM...
Thanks. Looks like it's worth a try.

Oh, it looks like I need to be invited.

Almost all of the titles in my library have a little "NEW" box next to their name, even ones I've had for years, have installed, played for hours, beaten, uninstalled, and tagged as completed. How do I get them to stop saying "NEW" next to their names?
Why does one need a invite to take part in the beta? I thought they would want as many as possible to test the new launchers worth.

My guess is Galaxy 2 uses new/other APIs to talk to GOG which are currently still with limited bandwidth (otherwise they would have to scale the whole infrastructure to supply both versions and since this is still in development server updates would have to be distributed to the whole CDN too). With invites they can plan ahead and say "we let another # of users in next week, let's add another server for Galaxy 2".

Also I would guess at first they let in rather long term members who are used to certain amount of pain ;-) Opening the floodgates of "Galaxy 2 for everyone" would bring lots of people expecting this working perfectly, no matter it says "beta". For instance all the Steam kiddies who are unhappy about the new client...

FulVal: Use crystaldiskinfo and check your hdd/ssd

Anothername: I'd rather not fiddle around with a 3rd party prog I know nothing about at the moment. But since GalCiv3 did updated flawlessly this time I guess this time its something unique to No Man Sky. Or it just got fixed.
Can only say that CrystalDiskInfo and CrystalDiskMark is two rather popular tools. Both from the same guy.

I'll keep them in mind; thanks :). For now the error is fixed.
Why is the install C: only? I'm getting low on space on C: with nothing I can remove to free up space.

Galaxy doesn't work with the security software called CryptoPrevent by FoolishIT.
Long-time, yet still un-fixed, notification setting bug (Galaxy 1.2.59):

Regardless of the setting, wishlist items ALWAYS cause the flashing flashing flashing flashing click me flashing flashing flashing attention-demanding flashing flashing flashing.

Which is getting more & more irritating the longer this bug remains un-fixed. (Has been years since the first report!)

Sooner rather than later, I am just going to have to abandon Galaxy client (go back to manual installing), or empty my wishlist completely, & miss out on offers. Either way, I would be interacting with GoG less, & therefore spending less money.

Why has this problem not been fixed already: it is just lowering GoGs reputation now, & costing revenue.

Please sort it out asap GoG! Stop delaying a fix / ignoring the reports / bumping it down the priority list.

It seems to me that I have looked eveywheree for a way to import games - especially now that Steam is completely frozen and all you get when you log in is a black screen with the choices tabs still arranged neatly at the top, but not reacting.(I also have a smallhandful of games at Epic. They aren't much, but a little bit is better than nothing), but I have been unsuccessful so far..

I would like to have all my games gathered in one place, and GOG looks altogether awesome and seems to understand how a creative mutually beneficial exchange works.

So I have a question: Can anybody tell me how to import games from other websites? ... Thank you in advance. :)

This is only possible with the new Galaxy 2.0 client which is currently in Beta. You can sign-up here (https://www.gogalaxy.com/en/) and wait for an invite (may take some time), but you should be aware that it's not yet a finished product.

I already did this yesterday, about one day and night before I decided to try and import my games. But perhaps something went wrong so I didn't get version 2.0 installed, I should check it out. Thanks for pointing out the possibility.

You have to register, and then wait for the email with your download link. This may take days or even weeks. AFAIK GOG let people into the Beta in batches in irregular intervals.
I am playing OoG/Pacific for the first time. I can't see well enough to tell what the main VPs are. How can you tell? Can I enlarge the map? who do I contact? Thanks for the help.
I have signed up for the beta client and have found out how it works. But GOG doesn't seem to recognize any of the games I have installed.

I play mainly single player games and am fairly sure that most of my games by far do not include any DRM features. - The amount of games I have is probably close to a 100, most are on Steam, and I have 30 games at Epic (most of them free weekend ofers).

I have to assume I'm doing something wrong, but what?. ... Can somebody help me?... Thank you in advance.

...........................

P.S. I really want to migrate to GOG and make this my game base (I'm disabled and bound to my home in a wheel chair, so I purchase and download all my games online.
I love GOGs prorities as well as it's user friendliness. I wish to have my games gathered here, which is why any and all help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

P.P.S. I just notice that the beta GOG client when written about is given the version nb. 2.0. But my GOG client is named 1.2 59 Beta. Would this have anything to do with my inability to import games?

I see. I didn't know this. Perhaps it's the reason why I can't import my other games. I just assumed I would be able to since the GOG client I have is named 1.9 Beta and it has the Scan and import features described here.

If patience is all I have to add to my efforts in order to make it work, I'll call it a relief. Thanks for your help. :)
