Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

TheTomasz: Other than that, very notably change is that GOG Galaxy will nearly immediately stop downloading data after you pause/abort/shutdown GOG Galaxy with download in progress.
Thanks for fixing that! It was really annoying on a poor connection when I wanted to pause to get some other work done or let the OS update.

Hey back. In my case everything seems to go smoothly so far. Just saying, because usually only the people with problems give feedback :-)
Hi there,

So I have a problem since a couple of hours : GOG Galaxy doesn't open anymore, I got the message "Fatal Error : Failed to load game database".

I don't know what happened, everything was fine today until I tried to open Galaxy, an update was downloading and then stopped with the message above.

Any idea how to solve that ?

Thanks in advance.

Add to my bug report, http://mantis.gog.com/view.php?id=5714 , upload your logs and storage folders.

The way to be able to use Galaxy is to delete your Storage folder, which will make galaxy forget all the games you have currently installed. Then re-import the games using the "scan & import from GOG Galaxy logo menu" per TheTomasz on the bug thread.

I'm having the same "Failed to load game database" issue after update, but I can't find a storage folder in "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy" (in fact I'm not even sure where the logs are). How can I fix this?

It's a hidden folder, you can find by pressing the Windows button and R and copy/ paste the link.
Hello GOG Galaxy,

I am playing the game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (DVD-ROM) and recently purchased the expansion pack. Now I have the base game and the GOTY version that came with the expansion pack that I bought. Now I am wondering...

1. Can I give my base game (not the GOTY) to a friend without affecting my GOTY version?
2. If yes, how can I transfer it to him online? (GOG to GOG account)

Your help is very much appreciated.
Apparently the latest beta update made the startup of the galaxy client very slow, like 20+ seconds on a SSD drive, is there a fix for this? Are you aware of the issue? Thanks

Nope, I've got show hidden files and folders turned on, but I tried to just enter it into both the explorer location bar and into the run dialog, the folder doesn't exist.
GOG Galaxy not syncing saves or gameplay hours for Neverwinter Nights Diamond after latest patch 1.2.42.

Your not looking for "Program Files", your looking for "ProgramData" which is a hidden directory.

C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage

Ah, must've skim read the instructions, thanks, managed to find it.
Is there some way to rename the games in the GoG Galaxy list? The reason I am asking is that Realms of Arkania 1&2 are called as such, whilst Realms of Arkania 3 is correctly translated to German. This hurts my OCD since the games are not grouped together, and it even is a German game, after all: Is there any way...?

Can you trigger refreshing data for those games and click them, go to the Game View, and check if it's OK now? :)
