Thanks, corrected. Obviously, I was for too long in the sun today.
To anyone who wants to buy Expeditions Conquistador on Steam and can't do it because FX Interactive are jerks and locked the game for you, I can buy it for you at actual cost. Just pay the PayPal fees. I dunno if we can do cross-country PayPal gifting these days...

Of course, this would be when the game is $5. Since it was up for a vote it might show up in the next few days as a daily.

Dont take it personally :) you should see the stuff i end up doing / making when i cant concentrate, its legendary!
Fortune Summoners is currently 75% off on GamersGate (DRM-free, if you subtract GG's client). As someone who has played through the game (20-30h, IIRC), and as someone who paid full price for it and does not regret it, I think that's a real steal.

The game is definitely worth these few bucks, if you like its genre, which is a cutesy anime 2D platforming 'JRPG' with level progression, real time combat featuring melee combos and a greater variety of magic spells, boss battles, (purely optional) grinding, light puzzle elements, linear story, but somewhat free exploration and secrets. I read that several reviewers complained about the difficulty and the controls, but I got along pretty well with them. And it ended up as one of my favorite games of 2012.

and [url=http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-CHANTE/chantelise-a-tale-of-two-sisters]Chantelise by the same publisher are also discounted, but I've only played a bit of the demos, so I can't comment on them. (From what I've seen, I liked FS best, but the other two have their fanbase, too.)

Personally, I like and recommend Recettear. Its a very different game. Has elements of Galactic Saga/Galactic Trader (trading / haggling), Secret of Mana (fighting / light magic), and Gurren Lagann (assembling miscellaneous dungeon items into stronger and stronger items). It also has a Civ like aspect of just one more day/round/dungeon to it.

As for Chantelise, I tried it for a week, but I kept getting lost, so its currently in the backlog. It looks like it is 3d, but the sprites are 2d, and they recycle a lot from Recettear. It kinda comes off as a high-res 2.5d games from the Doom II era. There are top down parts (in town), but I didn't get into it much.

Hope that helps!

Origin has a sale on some titles until the 23th, most are DLC but there are some classics too. Most notably Alice Madness Returns (it's still 50€ on Steam!) Crysis 1 and Dead Space 1 are all under 3€.

Valid for Mexico, Brasil and Europe only, or so they said.

Wow, fucking EA. Their games are still twice as expensive on Steam than what they are on Origin.
