Catshade: So...Risen 2 and Sacred 2; Which one is better and how are they both compared to the first Risen and Sacred?
avatar
gyokzoli: I'm wondering to if Risen 2 worth the 3.75 GBP price. I guess, yes, but I'd like to get some opinions on the game.
there is a DEMO over at Steam.

and the characters def. LOOK better than in the first one. ;)

I played the beta for a short time so I'm not sure the demo will add anything to my experience with the game. Also, I don't have time for playing today. But anyway, I won't be sad if I miss this sale.

Risen 2 could be nice I guess, Sacred 2 isnt something for me because there isnt story, voiceacting and its repetetive IMO.
I liked Risen 1, BUT(!) 15% of the time of the game is awful (>dungeons, killing one type of anenemy for like 60 times:/).

I would rather get Risen 1 or 2, than Sacred 2(but it also depends what genre you are looking for)...

grviper: The hell... Did Victoria 2 Heart of Darkness on GG go from a 50% sale right into 75% off?
They do daily deals on the Paradox titles, at least that's what the newsletter told me.

So essetially they are going to release an SNES game in 2013.

Indie devs riding on the retro train cant get lower than this. :(
I'm playing it now and it cost me nothing (or maybe £ 9.99 when I bought it waaaaay back) on the Amiga of course ;))
So no, i won't be buying the remake. ;)

and? The game is as old as Syndicate or Populous Ultima or Wing Commander sold on GOG. What's the difference?

and it's an Amiga Game!
...with some mild add-ons like achievements and Steam Workshop planned for later.
And if you missed it in the video, Mike Montgomery, one of the Bitmap Brothers, is on this, too and
it's based on the original Amiga code.
And just for the book, I am so glad they did not try to betterize it.
