Deserves special attention - Even if you don't normally like racing games.
I have both, haven't tried the second and working on the campaign in the first game.
I think the game is pretty good with an old school Capcom difficulty. Playing it with another person, however, I think would be a bit frustrating because a lot of events have to be handled a specific way and handled quickly and accurately.
There isn't a whole lot of breathing room to argue with a second player in your game.

I have the first one, too. Simple but pretty cool monsters to fight.
But the second one is built around coop and according to mostly all the comments and reviews pretty pointless with another player. I mean LOTR War in the North is managable without a second player.

PS: I dug around a bit on the DLC on R2-DW and the bigger consensus is they are not worth it, save for the pretty big extra on Glory points, which is the point (haha). Since the single DLCs are so bastardly expensive, the Complete Collection might still be worth it aka £5.74 for R1 and R2 vs £10 for everything.
