According to the e-mail newsletter the weekend deal on Impulse will be Dungeon Siege III for $25. Any thoughts? I never played the first two and the reviews on Metacritc are horrific.

It's a linear action RPG, almost exactly like Dungeon Siege 1 in gameplay. (never played 2)
It's good and if you like action rpgs, it's very good. If you don't, it will probably not change your mind.
The game takes about an hour to start feeling interesting enough.
As long as you don't play on the easiest difficulty setting, the game is not THAT easy. You are going to need to think while you fight. It is not a button smasher.
There are demos for all platforms, for it.
Definitely worth the money, though I paid half that for a new copy for the PS3.
I wouldn't pay 10$ to impulse.

And don't give much relevance to metacritic scores of second and third parts of games, as there are a lot of angry/fan score. I remember that with Dragon Age II, a lot of people where scoring it as 0 or 10.

I bought Konung 3 just for the hell of it. The process went smoothly. The only thing I didn't like was that the system requires you to store your credit card information before you can buy anything. You can delete it later but I don't like giving out financial info to sites whose trustworthiness is unknown to me.

Darksiders is EXCELLENT. It is like God of War, Zelda and Warhammer had a baby. Best to play it on normal or easy since the difficulties only add more life to the enemies, and they are pretty much the sword equivalents of bullet sponges.
mefet: Has anyone bought from beamdog before? they hav a full 1c sale and was thinking of grabbing something....

And you could've probably used Paypal, I have bought a couple of things from them and have not needed to give them credit information I think.
