ERBlank: I don't think I fully understood that question. You mean a separate "Appears most often" list that only amounts for developers depending on the amount of Missing Updates, and excluding all the other categories?

A list made specifically for developers wouldn't be a bad idea. In my opinion it's much less urgent than the one for publishers, because in the great majority of cases missing features are decided by publishers, and developers have little say on the matter, but it's still useful data to have. But my concern at this point is the organisation of the file. The first sheet is already crowded, so I'd need some time to think about a rearrangement for the third sheet.
Maybe two separate "appears most often" lists, one for publishers and one for developers, that only take the missing updates into account. You're right that publishers would normally have the say in terms of features, but in case of updates I'd say that the example you gave earlier in the thread where publishers blocked devs from getting updates on GOG are the exception rather than the rule.

And I don't think the organization would be a problem. "Publishers appearing most often overall" "Publishers appearing most often for missing updates" "Developers appearing most often for missing updates", your call whether side by side or one under the other, or the first staying where it is, the second next to it and the third under the second.
^ So far we created two lists, one for developers and one for publishers, but we're still not sure how to create a function that detects developers and publishers only relatively to their frequency in the "Missing updates" row. We'll keep it in mind for the future though

"Contributors" in "List contributors" is a bit confusing. There are many more contributors than those listed, practically everyone who has posted in this and the previous thread. You probably mean "List maintainers" or some such.

^ Thanks for pointing out. Yeah, I meant that to be a list of maintainers and in fact omega64 only copy-pasted the people that are mentioned in the first posts of this thread. Plus we added the guy who created the browser extension.

I'm all for creating another list of contributors, but I'd like to get confirmation from each of you before adding you. Do I put you in?

No need. Thank you.

ERBlank:
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell® confirmed. The game has language-specific installers and French is indeed not available for download.

Where The Water Tastes Like Wine partly confirmed and partly refuted. The game's menu has a language setting, which indeed does not include Chinese. However, it does include German, and selecting German does yield German text.

This is the last game I own from those with unconfirmed languages.
^ Excellent, thanks a lot for your help!
TIN HEARTS - very bad news:

Steam: 2024-05-24
GOG: 2023-12-13 - Version 1.0.9.3

Asked for update on Wired Discord server, the answer:

"[...] I have been chasing up information on this and finally have a difinitive answer. I'm afraid the developers are no longer working/supporting on Tin Hearts so therefore the likelihood of this ever being updated on GOG is next to none. At this point it is out of our control [...]"

This sheds an interesting new light on the recent discussion about whom to blame between developer, publisher and store. Wired being the publisher here, right? Telling us they have no control on the developer sending the updated build to GOG (updated build that already exists, since it is available from Steam)?

About GOG updates in my experience it depends, some games are updated by Devs and others by Publishers.

Anyway I hope for sure that Devs will change their mind and will update the GOG version.

If not, I hope "GOG" will investigate on this behavior and will asks to update the game to those in charge.

The GOG's version is behind the Steam one (regarding the language) ; some other updates are missing too.

https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/447120?updates=true&emclan=103582791459885056&emgid=4582931895713833450

From GOGdb : https://www.gogdb.org/product/1353845909#changelog

So it's quite normal you couldn't select Chinese....however if you can select german then the store page is outdated >.>

If you ask me : i wouldn't have high hope. But technically they are bind by a contract : don't ask me what's inside, but we could reasonably think any title should be updated under a reasonable time frame . Now in reality some devs / pubs don't care IF the store (GOG here) doesn't put the pressure on them (for some reasons). There's also the possibility the studio is too small to sustain different builds for different stores...ie Edge of Eternity. (which is working on the sequel...) and STEAM became so huge .... updating the game on GOG doesn't worth the effort (i believe that's some devs are thinking) but it's a legal issue... whatever the size of the studio.
My final point : GOG should refuse any other titles from those devs... it has a high chance to end-up like "TIN HEART"

WayfarerGOG: interesting
WHAT?
Are you looking to terminate ANOTHER forum thread in a guise of "promoting competition" or some other bs?
That would be VERY "on brand" for GOG...

Also, "new user" tag on an Staff profile, lmao...
SNEG released Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord, Combat Mission 2: Barbarossa to Berlin, and Combat Mission 3: Afrika Korps on Steam recently with multiple improvements that the GOG versions do not have - the GOG version of CMBO is 1.12e, the Steam version is 1.14.
