drealmer7: ...that is why I told him more online mafia experience would be helping him...
zeo is caught scum who doesn't know if he's caught scum and just wants the 1 guy who knows the rest of the crucial bit to tell it so he knows how to play it and just just flailing like a madman in the meantime it's a fucking riot I'm still laughing pretty well

zeo: "am I minion or wolf or are you or him or who do I defend or throw shade to OMG HSL TELL ME!!"
Y'know, I feel like I'm ever-so-subtly being insulted here.

bler144: Or is your gambit just to layer it so deep in WIFOM that it's all noise?
this

seriously

I can't stop laughing

this is a riot

no not at all I would be going nuts if I were you, though I still haven't read the rest yet to know if HSL finally said it all or not I'm still laughing and taking my time

you're doing wonderfully, btw

kudos

great performance

so, which is it?

minion or wolf?

you're the minion right? and trent is wolf?

unless...unless...

that initial read was correct I think

zeo painting trent as tanner so we don't lynch trent

is zeo minion to trent's wolf

not realizing the game would come around this much?

little short-sighted on zeo's part but, still I think the most likely scenario

robber is kind of like a corruptable cop

it's an investigative role, townwincon wants to townwincon so wants to rob another townie role to get another confirmed town in the switch, BUT, if he happens to rob scum, he becomes corrupted and is seriously the bane of the town's ability to win if he knows how to play it right

it simply becomes fun in that it happened and everyone was duped "that round" because of how it unfolded

it's generally a quick game at a party and you play multiple sessions so the investment isn't as heavy into "omfg we got robbed and there was no way to know"

drealmer7:
Ah, I see what you're doing now. A very clever tactic, but no, I'm seer and although it appears there's not much I can do to convince anyone at this point, all I've got is to give the info I have

If you're positive about Trent being our wolf though, I'm all for voting him (he was already top of my list anyways as I said before). As I said, you people know how to read him better than I do thanks to previous games.
eh, I'd reread zeo/crist and heed your words, zeo, if I had any reason to not believe/think that much of what you have done has been in the service of scum from the start

some slips and then, the thing with the card choices

and now I have to not listen to a thing you say, because shit like you being comfortable voting trent is just adding to the pile of poo we have to sort

like, no, fuck that shit,

you didn't peak any cards, it means you're minion

the question becomes 1 wolf or 2

if 1 wolf, then we have a tanner
if 2 wolves, then the tanner is the 3rd card

blotunga seems like more likely tanner than trent, even if both are wolves

I want to vote trent

but WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOU DID HSL!!!!

we can be comfortable in the likelihood that hunter is not a wolf who claimed hunter after peaking the hunter card in the middle because cristi waited to claim the 2nd peek after hunter had claimed

he can't know she doesn't know he's going to have fake-claimed, so it's not a move he makes as wolf, he's actually hunterHunter

drealmer7: and now I have to not listen to a thing you say
Funny, they said the same thing about my last song.
I'm beginning to think I should go into the street magician business instead.
and yes you can play this game with lots of people

I don't know why you think max of 10, zeo

there are multiple packs and you can toss in as many roles as you want

1-Night Ultimate WW has like 20 rolecards?

not even an Alpha Wolf in that pack I think
avatar
drealmer7: I don't know why you think max of 10, zeo
Because it literally says so on the box, mayhaps?
I have it here and it says 3-10.

Just because you have a lot of roles doesn't mean you should use all of them at once. I can see it becoming very unbalanced and/or chaotic if you throw in everything and have at it.
pfff

how many role cards are there?

16?

maybe we only played with 15?

still

pffffff

it's a blast
hilarious too because of the space needed to play and how moving and shit upon the opening phase can be telling

we played a couple times, everyone being super still and quiet, and still the troublemaker or robber has trouble switching because OMFG so many ppl

so after that I was modding and was like "fuck this let's just all stomp and clap and make motion with our eyes closed for a minute while players do their actions, if someone grabs at your card, give it to them, take theirs"

and drunk and wahtever else can do shit

...I dunno, that just sounds irritating to me unless everybody's in excessively good spirits with exceptionally long arms.
But to each their own, I suppose. The power of alcohol is one which I often underestimate.
been tossing it around in the brain, and

yep

vote trent's original role-card position, wherever that may be

if HSL would be so kind...and he is, so...any time now...

meh everybody making noise and moving and no one can tell anything

and yes, everyone's generally in very good spirits

except joe, he's always drawing scumcards and can't get away from them!!!

and when we play regular werewolf he's often scum! poor guy

awww, man

I wish locw was playing this game with us!!!

and lifthrasil too!

we should have added more rolecards!

oh and that post of trent's that I initially thought was a hunter claim quickly switched, if that wasn't obvious

bler144: Show of hands - I'm guessing zeo/drealmer both knew about this coming in, but for other new players like, say @adalia, had you actually paid attention to all the roles/rules closely enough to note that solo wolf got to draw a card?
Yes and no, I'd originally read it as wolves always got a peek and only clarified once the seer claims were flying around.

So interesting thing a foot. Still really not sure what's going on.

I can't really see zeo as Tanner, he's been trying too hard to get others lynched. So I'm fairly sure he is minion or wolf.

trent on the other hand... He could still be anything. What I'm not getting is... Why did he think he was swapped at all?
It seems odd to draw so much attention to himself (unless he had genuinely completed misread and thought Hyper had soft claimed swapping him, he didn't do that did he?)
So right now he seems more like a likely Tanner than a wolf or minion..

I think zeo may be minion to a lone wolf and trent is tanner. But I'm really not sure, the swapping andi interactions are really starting to get confusing now..

bler144: In other news, blotunga's defense is pretty NAI.
I've seens this abbreviation too often now without knowing what it means. Mafiascum common abbreviations doesn't include it. Please enlighten me?

adaliabooks: you - talks too much. It feels like you're trying too hard, pushing too much.
If it helps you any with understanding me: This is my second game. I observed Oakwood, where I was a big fan of bler talking too much to great effect. Singlehandedly lost Smurfia on the final lynch, where I blame myself not asking fellow townies why they trusted trent when I had the chance (since I ended up mislynching him on that final day). I'll probably mellow down to less talk in future games once I get a better feeling for everything, but for the moment I'm taking the longwinded way to get where I'm going, and doing it publicly so people can point out if I overlook/misinterpret things.

I know I overlooked it pre-game, and stumbled across it while trying to figure out why N0 needed to take 4 days and what actual action the wolves got to take. But that means that I've known all game long that a lone wolf got to do this.

gogtrial34987: I just looked at this from the perspective of the following scary thought...
avatar
drealmer7: I really need to go back and read things, but from memory, what he does is increases his odds (if he's lying), he calls either trent or me "town" - not a hard villager, and then does he wait to say who and what the result is after more information has come into allow him to increase his chances at guessing correctly?
His first post (#11) said "town", but his second (#13, where he named the three names) already said "town villager":
avatar
bler144: Sorry, didn't refresh to see this. I was town robber, I didn't visit you. My list of potential targets was Trent, adalia, and Drealmer - and I did select one of them. Admittedly my strat was probably faulty, and i would've been better targeting someone who's harder to read rather than easier.

Anyway, one of those 3 was town villager.

It's fine, play however you play.
I just find your exuberance and opening theorising appears like you're trying to direct the game in the same way zeo has been. But I don't have any particular experience of you or your playstyle so I know it could easily just be a misunderstanding.
