Hello Agent, how are you feeling today? Yep, I'm definitely enjoying it! Unfortunately my coach (the teacher I'm normally paired with) had other things to do today, so I wasn't able to teach any classes. But I made use of the opportunity to observe a couple of classes with another teacher, and that experience was quite educational. :)

Yes, I'm really enjoying it! The students can be a handful but it's never boring. :P They're not quite sure what to make of me. I was called 'old' last week (despite being only four years older than the student in question), but just today a 13-year old questioned why I was using the elevator, since that's only meant for teachers. :P It's quite funny to be honest. I keep expecting some older teacher to kick me out of the staff room for looking like a student, but it hasn't happened yet. Of course I do make sure to march in like I own the place. ;)

Every day has it ups and downs... Some worse or better than others. I guess it's sometimes more important to find balance and stability, rather than trying to be happy all the time. Failing that - I find that Torchlight helps.

Yep, I taught two classes on Monday. It was quite the experience. :P Things did not go perfectly of course, but it went quite well all things considered, and my coach was very satisfied. So I'm happy about that. :)
The ones I actually teach try to test me because they figure they'll be able to get away with more things since I'm inexperienced ... But I'm going to lay down the law! :P I've already resolved to separate two girls if they keep chatting next week. Sending one of them to the opposite end of the classroom should help to lower disruptions by like 50%. :P

Ugh, papers ... I've not been working as much on my thesis as I should have ... Good luck with your paper!

That would freak me the hell out. Teaching. The power you have is amazing. You could randomly decide to just mess around with the kids' minds, and decide to teach them something that is total bullsh*t, and they'll believe it for the rest of their life because you are their teacher :-p ... I guess that might not work as well for high-school kids as it would for younger kids though... My point is, that much responsibility would scare me ;-p
