Well, my only experience comes from living 3-4 years in Italy. And the lifestyle and people were so much more relaxed there.
I know it's not EVERYONE. But certain differences in culture and habits are very easy to spot.

Then again: How come all the mediterranean countries have troubles? Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece? There must be a reason and for now I think a laidback opinion on stuff like tax evasion might be one of them.
