Final pre-release update and price increase coming August 16.

So much has been happening with We Happy Few since the title joined Games in Development, but this journey is almost at its end. As the full game's release approaches, developers Compulsion Games are beginning revealed their plans for the near future.

The final in-development update "Life in Technicolor" is dropping August 16, introducing new Joy effects as well as a brand new UI (still WIP), AI reworks and much more. This date also marks the previously-announced price change – jumping to $50.99 (or your local equivalent).

You can read the full announcement here.

If you've been on the fence, this is a great time to hop over – and stay tuned for more info coming soon!
This ^^
Just guessing but
who bought the company ?
My first bet would be Ubisoft then EA.

tinyE: THIS is a stunt.

I wonder if the pilot knows those guys are up there.
He would have known they were up there. But can he see them? It would be stressful to wonder if they are still up there.

It would be even more stressful for the players to wonder if the pilot was watching the game instead of the flight.

Manywhelps: I hope we do you proud.

To everyone else here, thank you all for your patience. Tomorrow probably won't make many of you happy. I may not convince you of what we want do to, and why we want to do it. But I want to thank you for keeping an open mind, and I'll be here to explain, firestorm or no, as a result. I'll be as open as I can be about everything.

That sounds ominous.

If you hadn't said no multiplayer previously I'd had thought the game had been changed into a mmo game. The worst thing that could happen is it being turned into an always online game with the publisher being EA. I hope you didn't make that Faustian bargain.
Today is the 16th. Where is the info? I CAN´T wait. I´m so curious!

At 6pm UK time afaik. 5 hours and 15 mins to go. Approximately.

And you're not the only one who's eagerly wondering what the big announcement is.

They said on the Steam news thread (in the comments) that the update will go live at 5pm GMT, so 6pm BST/WEST or 7pm CEST. So, if I understand correctly from your forum info, you should be in Germany, and the Life In Technicolor update will go live at 7pm your time.

*If* the announcement happens at the same time the update is dropped, expect it around 7pm.
Dammit, I won´t be online until 7pm. So I have to wait until tomorrow.

EDIT. Is this correct english? I mean, that I will be online until ~6pm. Then again tomorrow.

That statement would have me concerned.
The tension is unbearable!

I think you mean "I'll only be online until 7pm", then. "I won't be online until 7pm" implies you can only be online *after* 7pm.

It's better to be cautious than be all excited about an announcement I'm predicting a lot of users will not think is good.

Thanks for the correction. I noticed, that my sentence is wrong even in german :)

Your english is correct in both the original sentence and in the edit.

The edit is a better version though, because (as you seem to realize) the original can be read as "I will get online at 7pm". The context had me understand it as "I won't be able to be online all the way to 7pm".
Haha, it's not doom and gloom guys. I'm excited about today - it's a big deal for us as a company, and a great thing for everyone who has bought the game. Hype is complicated - I don't like being all "it's going to be AWESOME" when I write on forums, I'd rather be honest. It's what I do - and I'm sure I could say "we cured cancer" and we'd get some people unhappy with it. That's all :)

I was up until 3am writing build notes, operating on ~4 hours sleep. Haven't been home in 10 days. So, forgive me if I'm slow on replies today.
