Then it means things could have gone a lot different. Micro was Shy; your action wouldn't just fail, it would have caused Micro's to fail too. He wouldn't be sure of Pooka's scumminess at early D4, and the day would have played completely different.
At least that is what I was thinking when I received Micro's night action and assumed Micro's certainty would convince you he wasn't the enemy. In that scenario I was imagining, your decision to skip the Night action could have been the salvation of Town.

GR is talking about the chat backups. It might be easier to read a copy you'd have saved than getting to the original board only a few of us can reach.

Now, I was giving the setup some thought. I liked many things about it, like the Shy and Original modifiers. A Town made of nerfed cops is definitely a cool and unusual idea. But I see two downsides that need a lot of tweaks to make it better.

First of all, it's the fact that, while this setup is swingy, it can only swing for Town. In one Night, if all the night actions go as Town desires they get 2 full investigations outing scum. (They already got half that in N1 with Micro picking Yog. Made Pooka's life much harder the rest of the game)
Whereas, if all night actions go as best as possible for scum, it just means that Town starts next Day with one less player. Not exactly balanced.

@Micro: that is why I told you that scum had a tougher time than Town and why I was hoping for a scum victory. Because cheering for the one who is already posed to win is usually boring.

The second downside is the fact that in this setup most cop Nerfs rely on the townies stepping on each others' toes. One misguided action can invalidate what would be useful investigation by a Shy, Original or Conditional cop. And that is desirable because, as Lift said a while ago, a game where everyone can investigate would be short and boring. But that also means that, the further the game goes, the likelihood of an investigation succeeding goes up because there are less feet stepping on their teammate's toes.

And that is a problem because it risks the resolution being "I investigated the last scum, lynch us both", which isn't really good for the game. Thankfully it didn't happen this game. 3-players standoffs are much more interesting and every team holds a chance to win.

I guess it wasn't too helpful when a number of the remaining players started leaning/locking me as town, huh? ;)

The only thing that I noticed was in F3, it seemed like you naturally wanted to cast some shade on Lift that he could be scum even after fish clear-copped him... which is not mathematically possible.

That's scum instinct showing through to try and keep your options open, and had I been a townie with you in F3, I would have picked up on it.

One fish cleared him as Town, the only possibilities are that fish is town and lift is town, or fish is mafia and lift is town. There's no possibility, barring godfather or insane shenanigans, where fish is town and lift is mafia.

Otherwise, whatever gets you over the finish line is a job well done.
