I haven't read this whole thread, so forgive me if the point has already been made, but for me, the biggest concern I have with pirating GOG games is that I fear it makes publishers less likely to allow their games be sold by GOG.
Now I'm not talking about 15 year old games here, obviously publishers are happy for every dollar they can get from games that old, but if pirating GOG games becomes more of a problem, then GOG isn't going to any relatively newer titles I'm afraid.
I realize there are folks here that would be fine with that, since they liked the "old" GOG (I did too), but I do confess to loving the idea of a DRM free The Wticher 2 and Legend of Grimrock. And I like the idea of perhaps getting DRM free versions of games within 3 to 5 years instead of 8 plus or something.
But, perhaps I'm entirely wrong on all of these worries too. I just don't know. But they are worries.
