supplementscene: [...] probably [...]
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
avatar
ZFR: Good Lord...

Where. Did. I. Say. You. Are. Probably. Tunneling?

Show me.

Until you do, this discussion is over.
avatar
supplementscene: 'I think Scene could be his usual tunneling self' = probably tunneling
'Could be' not equal to 'probably'.

"It could rain tomorrow" vs "it will probably rain tomorrow". See the difference? You're subtly changing my words to suit your narrative.

And stop with the insults, please.
CIVIL! It means polite! Friendly! Let's give it a go I hear it's actually quite fun!

supplementscene: How does Pooka have access to our private fascist chat? This could be game breaking. I was just trying to sheep him and put distance between me and ZFR too.
lol

avatar
supplementscene: @pooka don't pick Lift or Joe and I'll vote for your Presidency
:C

avatar
supplementscene: To have insurance against such a scenario I suggest Pookas government alongside someone you have not proposed is picked.
It doesn't seem very fair that ZFR can discredit my chancellorship just by proposing me as chancellor, but I do see your stance.

ZFR isn't trying to get a F into chancellor - because I'm not an F so he's not guilty on that count.

It's possible that he's planning to cause conflict with me then sit back as I singlehandedly hand the game over to the Fs but I don't know how I can defend against that.

I wrote the above a while ago but it wouldn't post.

avatar
supplementscene: The fact you can't understand that you're dictatating the whole game and taking no ownership over it and having no negotation shows you're a fascist.
this seems something of an overreaction to ZFR's suggestion. Especially as I know ZFR's not trying to get a Fascist chancellorship. (well I guess it's possible he's Hitler and he THINKS he's trying to get a fascist chancellorship... but Hitler wouldn't be bothered who was their chancellor so that doesn't make sense ignore that)

Why should scene overreact now? If it is strategic it would make sense if Pooka was Hitler, but it's not very subtle.

Was your point before that Maxleod should be seen as completely untested and therefore should be considered for government?

Wait.........whaaaaaaaaaaaat? Is this a joke or were you seriously asking?

Thread Update

Done for now......skimmed most of it....just waiting to see who gets picked next before weighing in on chancellor picks/votes/etc
Got distracted by work yesterday and seems I will be distracted by even more work today, and you guys been having a lot of fun since.

Anyway I honestly don't know why Joe is bad.

I'd normally say this is a joke but it feels weird coming from supplementscene. I don't know what it's trying to imply, he's scum? Sheep him? Distance? What's with all these words being here. Also is this a LAMIST attempt by inferring there is a private fascist chat in a game with no secret chats whatsoever?

I don't really see a lot to doubt Joe on, but I will eventually need to come to a decision. Maybe tomorrow morning or noon, I'll figure out if I pick Joe. No idea, honestly.

PookaMustard: Anyway I honestly don't know why Joe is bad.
Is he good though? I mean, I know he is outside of the game but do you think he's an OK candidate for whatever right now?

Considering the Lift and scene conflict, and considering GR and Cadaver are way way waaaaay back, Joe looks better as a choice, yes? And he has a chance to be president later too. That's how I'm thinking about it.

Previously you expressed uneasiness with the "Joe-centric" plan. What bothered you before that isn't anymore?

What bothers me is not "JoeSapphire" by himself - admittedly could've worded it better here - but that we'd skip to ZFR who will choose Joe as chancellor and then skip more to a Joe presidency.

I assumed you may have been more bothered by your own skip but as you say you didn't really mention that but payed specific attention to Joe and his supposedly extended involvement.

I'm bothered by my skip of course, namely I don't get to participate when I can. But the "Joe-centric" thing is basically "skip literally everyone not named Joe," and I'm not a fan of that.

How are you feeling for your own government? What would be your top choice(s)?
avatar
JoeSapphire: Pooka - why not Maxleod?
avatar
PookaMustard: Maxleod was picked in the first government. That is, two governments ago.

avatar
Lifthrasil: So my suggestion would be, pick any from the set:
{Joe, Cadaver, Me, GR} with a preference for Me of course.
avatar
PookaMustard: Hmm, I could always try Joe. He's neither you nor scene, and will be superintendent sooner as well.
That is how it looks to me at the moment for my sleepy self, anyhow.
As I said, I'm fine with any of the four I mentioned. And the fact that Scene is so expressedly against Joe makes him seem like an even better choice. I still think that Scene is fascist and I don't think that Scene would try reverse psychology. So him being against Joe means that Joe is probably Liberal.
