OKAMI!!!
Anime and Manga are eternal, universal, everywhere and part of everything. They always manifest everything with the most perfected appearances. There are billions of anime and manga franchises with millions being created every year for all eternity.
The people who still try to say that "westerners" have problems with "Anime" are always fanatical american nationalists with backwards mentality that have no place in the world anymore. All of the rest of the western world has always been full of anime and manga, it is only a minority of radical americans that are stuck in backwards mentality. Moreover, most americans themselves unnanimously agree that their own country is the most bigoted, racist and worst place in the world to live in, and this can be clearly seen by their news media and education system which trashes its own country and its corrupted history.
These last years we are finally seeing a huge collapse of the american culture with the globalization of the world and the worldwide globalization of anime and manga. Anime and Manga are everywhere, eternal and part of everything.

Moar JAPAN plox. VNs, hentai, adult, non adult, EVERYTHONG.
Include Phantasie IV, please.
as long as they are completely translated i agree.
As long as everything continues to be PROPERLY tagged, I see no issues with this. People who don't want to see these games can simply exclude the tag. People who do will use it.
Literally one of the things I hate about Steam is their tagging system is worthless. I specifically exclude "MOBA" and "MMO", yet those games keep being recommended to me. Screw that worthless storefront, that's no better than mobile - and mobile is a dumpster fire precisely because search is broken. If media aggregating websites can have millions of entries and yet use tags properly, why can't we here? That's all that's necessary to keep organization manageable: proper tagging.
I want to play Touhou, Okami, Bayonetta, and visual novels for the first time
With Japanese language option (audio and subtitles)!
No
Steins;Gate, Clannad, Danganronpa, Zero Escape, Disgaea, Phantom Brave, Yomawari, htoL#NiQ, Senran Kagura, Okami HD, Rockman / Mega Man, Devil May Cry, biohazard / Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy, NieR, Secret of Mana, Star Ocean, Romancing Saga, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Life is Strange, Tokyo Dark, Valkyria Chronicles, Bayonetta, Vanquish, Neptunia, Fortune Summoners, and so on...
All these games are on PC but not on GOG. I think this needs to change.
weeeb
Hell yeah! Weaboos and otakus on GOG
I wouldn't mind to see some titillating ones, without the need to download uncensored patch-tosh, unlike on the most favoured DRM-shoved-down-your-peasant-throat site. I'm not thinking of visual novels, although Ladykiler In A Bind has terrific writing, but the Sakura series, or Criminal Girls would be awesome. Nothing rape-, or incest-themed obviously, but games having nudity as a natural part. Preferably with english translation only. The difference between how the US market handles sexuality and violence is hypocritical, I wish GoG to be more European, more healthily, more balanced. No adult likes to be handled as a child.
Yes aftera bit of trial and error, I could play the game, making sense of it trough the consequence of each option...but still fun to play..
Umm..but with translation plz ?..Yes..lots of games from Japan are good, but I SOOOOO can't read japanese..anyone ever heard of DAIVA series ?..guud..still have the MSX emulation..
Please GOG. Look at Steam. Reach out to publishers like NIS America and get titles like Disgaea and Phantom Brave on here. Reach out to publishers like Spike Chunsoft and get titles like Danganronpa and Zero Escape here. Square Enix and their Final Fantasy and Nier titles. And so on.
I find GOG's lack of faith in Nepu disturbing.
ArtDink and Treasure games, especially!
No just no.
There is literally no good reason why games like Monster Monpiece, Danganronopa, and Senran Kagura couldn't be added here. Please make it possible GOG.
Yosh! Would love this as steam has too many to begin with...Plus, I need more JRPGs to de-steam...
would love to try the old nihon falcom games besides the YS series. dragon slayer, brandish, xanadu. they all look really cool from a historical standpoint. like the older ultima titles
This gets my vote, not just on GOG but in general. I'd like to see more Japanese games given a chance to sell overseas but many just never make it out of Japan. Like the IdolMaster games for instance. As a big fan of J-Pop & K-Pop, I'd love to have a chance to play games like this.
It's hard to switch to GoG when the games you like aren't available.

I hope more Japanese games ON JAPANESE.
Big-boy batch coming on through!
First up is the Relics series from Bothtec. The 1986 original was lauded in its time for telling a mysterious story in a language few Japanese could read (which was English); the series shifted from action-adventure to isometric CRPG when the 1999 remake came out: www.gog.com/wishlist/games/relics www.gog.com/wishlist/games/relics_the_recur_of_origin www.gog.com/wishlist/games/relics_the_2nd_birth www.gog.com/wishlist/games/rinne
Bokosuka Wars (proto-RTS that influenced Tecno Soft's Herzog and others; avoid the NES version, this one's balanced): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/bokosuka_wars_x1
Space Griffon (sci-fi dungeon-crawler taking place in a haunted moon colony): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/space_griffon
Produce (maze/trap strategy game, a precursor of Tecmo's Deception and other horror games where you play as the enemy): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/produce
Eggerland Mystery + Eggerland 2 (most know the series as Adventures of Lolo, but these first two MSX games set the puzzle mechanics in place): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/eggerland_mystery www.gog.com/wishlist/games/eggerland_2
Lizard (first-person CRPG influenced by Wizardry, ported to many platforms as Sir-Tech's games became popular): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/lizard_nec_pc6001
Genocide Squared (compiling the original and Genocide II, this is the best, most convenient way to play two hectic side-scrolling arcade action games): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/genocide_squared_fm_towns
Adventure Forest in Wonderland (a relic of the Japanese text-adventure era, this surreal trek could one day receive attention): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/adventure_forest_in_wonderland_sharp_mz
Hioden I + II (early RTSes from Wolf Team, featuring great audiovisuals and tactical-scale dungeon missions): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/hioden_pc98 www.gog.com/wishlist/games/hioden_ii_pc98
Soft de Hard na Monogatari I + II (part of Sacom's Novelware series, these visual novels riff off of a Japanese PC software industry long passed, with sim-game mechanics involved): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/soft_de_hard_na_monogatari_i_ii
Falcom's Monarch Monarch (silly name aside, this game expands on Lord Monarch's sunny RTS mechanics, using an isometric perspective for height): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/monarch_monarch
Death Force (a technical showpiece for a Fujitsu computer, this overhead action-adventure offers interesting control options and plenty of difficulty): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/death_force_fujitsu_fm77av
The pastebin needs a big update, substantial as it already is.
Translating PixelBoy to English: Yes, please.
Even with untranslated content, I'm okay with it.
Would really love more Japanese games, specially JRPG's and visual novels (I think that's what everyone thinks about by "Japanese games" but what the hell :) ).
はい、おねがいします。
There were also cute (not eroge) games like symphonic rain, angelic serenade, and such. Although westerners seem to have phobia of anime girls so they need to raise their age like in the atlier games. They're too young, must grow older...
This reminds me of ever17 getting ported to US but the compnay got shut down. Now the price for 2nd handed copy is like a few hundreds bucks.
Been spending most their lives
Living in the J-PC paradise
Chitty Chitty Train (Richard Scarry-esque real-time train puzzler, reminds me of Zoo Keeper): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/chitty_chitty_train_pc98
Thunder Force II for the X68000 (best version of an all-time STG classic, with amazing audiovisuals and great fun underneath): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/thunder_force_ii_sharp_x68000
Kagirinaki Tatakai (one of Enix's first releases, a downward-directional H.E.R.O.-like with multiple ways to progress, plenty of action, and advanced physics for its time): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/kagirinaki_tatakai_sharp_x1_1
Daiva: Flames of Vlitra (strategy-action space opera sim, first in a monumental saga of six games released across various J-PCs): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/daiva_flames_of_vlitra_pc88
Golvellius (a familiar action-adventure game for SEGA Master System fans, but best played in its definitive J-PC glory): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/golvellius_msx2
Psychic Detective Series Vol. 3 AYA (third out of six animated point-and-click adventure games renowned for their writing, psychologically-motivated plots, and technological innovation): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/psychic_detective_series_vol_3_aya
As always, I'm keeping the pastebin current with anything useful I might find.
I'd love to see GameArts Silpheed on the site. Since it was published by Sierra in the US and EU, I guess the publishing rights for that would be at Activision now, if they didn't revert to GameArts/GungHo?
Can I haz Yandere Hell?
Ideally, I would get collector edition with moe ice pick.
I'd love to see more Japanese games on the site. The problem is that the computers they used were so different from ours for a long time. It isn't possible to play most of those games without emulators. Granted there are plenty of DOS games on this website, so it's not like GOG is opposed to emulation, but DOSbox is already so well established that it's a little different.
Well, which ones?
Second wave of Japanese PC game wishes I've added:
Mike's Lonely Journey (cult-classic homebrew arcade action game released through Oh! FM magazine): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/mikes_lonely_journey_fujitsu_fm7
Tokyo Nampa Street (the first dating simulator?): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/tokyo_nampa_street_msx
The Screamer (post-apocalyptic CRPG with skill-based battling and character creation, has translations): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/the_screamer_pc88
Tokyo Twilight Busters (hybrid puzzle-adventure game combining visual novel-like mechanics with point-and-click adventuring, has a DS port): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/tokyo_twilight_busters_pc98
Mad Stalker (belt-scroller beat 'em up with some fighting-game mechanics involved): www.gog.com/wishlist/games/mad_stalker_full_metal_force
For those more interested in Japanese PC games, here's a pastebin of links I've acquired: pastebin.com/g99LycCJ
Yes, I would like more Japanese Games.
I vote for less Japanese games.
More Japanese games that are NOT going to be removed from GOG sales' list! There, corrected for you... Guilty Gear, anyone?
Here's the first several Japanese PC games I've added to Requested Games:
The Black Onyx: www.gog.com/wishlist/games/the_black_onyx_pc88
Burai: www.gog.com/wishlist/games/burai_pc98
Door Door: www.gog.com/wishlist/games/door_door
Elm Knight: www.gog.com/wishlist/games/elm_knight
Lunatic Dawn II: www.gog.com/wishlist/games/lunatic_dawn_ii
Star Cruiser: www.gog.com/wishlist/games/star_cruiser_sharp_x68000
Tokio: www.gog.com/wishlist/games/tokio
Plenty more to come. I already posted my thoughts on getting Japanese PC games onto GOG here: www.gog.com/wishlist/site/more_japanese_developerspublishersgames
Not sure why this wish is more popular all of a sudden, but the above games are overlooked whenever people talk about important Japanese PC titles. They seem to prefer eroge as a topic, lol.
