Hi Guys, I followed SInitar's guide for modding but I'm having some issues.
1. My save files sometimes corrupt into having single digit fps's (usually they're in the 100's-300's) which renders that save unplayable. Restarting the game doesn't correct these saves, and I have tried to run it through starter and
2. Game often crashes.
3. Game often black screens with music.
I disabled weather effects but I still get these problems. I have tried starting it with all the applications. Some (Gothic_backup) won't run at all
Thanks for the help.
Attached is the error message I get on most crashes.

In the meanwhile we have finished Gothic 1 & 2, which had a couple nasty bugs remaining.
Gothic 3 unfortunately ran so horribly bad on Linux through WINE that it's unplayable.

Thanks
I git the access violation fixed. I had the problem with the folder being greyed out before but, do not remember?
OK I got it working with the steam fix?
There used to be a sticky on how to and which order to install all this stuff. I seen the DX11 one but It was a bit complicated for me. Some more detail would be excellent for us not so tech. savy with system files.. It does look pretty good with the steam fix and freddys textures.
1. Install game
2. (Steam/retail only, not needed for GOG version) Install Gothic Patch 1.08k
3. Install Gothic1_PlayerKit-1.08k.exe
4. Install Gothic1_PlayerKit-2.8.exe
5. Install G1Classic-SystemPack-1.8.exe
And I personally suggest:
6. Install Textures Patch for Gothic 1 (0.8 beta)
This fixes rundll32 problems, made inventory items visible again for me and increased texture detail. (which looks way better)
When the folder is greyed out, you have either not selected the directory where Gothic is installed or you are running the installers in the wrong order.

Can't someone just upload it to Google Drive like a normal person? Or ModDB? Or just OneDrive or something? Literally every single cult classic game community does this.
