Hopefully Gamescom next week is good news for GOG. They've mentioned time and again how they use opportunities like this to talk to publishers, so even if this doesn't bring a new one hopefully it might lead to more "big-name" titles showing up from publishers we already have here.

IronArcturus: Sounds pretty cool! Do any of the games run in a window or allow in-game saving?
Unfortunately, Jagged Alliance 2 does not support windowed mode, although I think the fan made "1.13" mod added it in. (JA2 - Unfinished Business doesn't have it, either and I am currently unable to check Wildfire.)
You can save whenever you want, though.

I assume that JA1 runs in DOSBox, which would mean that it has a windowed mode by default.
Do I need to play the first Disciples, or can I reasonably jump into the second?

Siegor: I guess I'll check some youtube vídeos about Disciples II. Seems a lot like Heroes of Might & Magic and Age of Wonders.
Yes it is like HOMM, just a little simpler. Not that it detracts from the fun... The world is much darker than the usual fantasy stuff and the game has excellent graphics, both in the map and the battles. If you like HOMM and AoW, I'm sure you'll like this too. Check some let's play videos and come back to buy it! :-)
Hmmm... I've seen these games on discount too many times...

Just did, thanks for the input! ;)
@anyone

So which do think is the better game, FLATOUT 1 or 2?

I say FlatOut 2, everything about it is bigger and better than the first; more cars, more tracks, more awesome stunts, derbies and events, and great mod support to add even more, if need be.

Both are great, but the second is without a doubt the better of the two.

Thanks for the insight. How much of the games are the demolition derbies? I think if I were to play, then I would like a healthy dose of that. Which one do you think has the better derby?

The derbies aren't much of the games, more of just a side diversion, but of the two, FlatOut 2 has the better derbies. It has 6 Derby Tracks; 3 new ones (Gas Station, Skyscraper, and Parking Lot), and all 3 that were in the first, but with mods, such as those you can find at the FlatOut Joint, you can add some more.

But also, the races themselves can somewhat turn into derbies as well. For hitting and wrecking other cars you earn nitrous, and if you caused more damage than anyone else throughout the race, you get a cash award at the end.
Pretty good promo!

Ok, thanks again. :)
This promo got me to take a closer look at the Jagged Alliance series. Have to wishlist it for now though.
How the heck do you control anything in JA1? It feels like I'm flying a plane.
Has anyone else had trouble buying stuff from GOG this sale? I purchased Overlord, but I still haven't received my game, even though payment went through right away. I've contacted GOG support last night about it, but I was wondering if this was just bad luck or a nasty glitch.
