The Last of The Dreamers is you.

Omikron: The Nomad Soul, a remarkable action-adventure game full of unique gameplay ideas and featuring a groundbreakingly complex alternate reality, teeming with life and waiting for you to explore it, is available on GOG.com, for only $9.99.

A fair warning: when you play this game, your very soul will be sucked into a strange realm where the glorious city of Omikron is troubled by demonic forces. The essence of your being will be trapped in this different dimension, doomed to inhabit one body after another, until you manage to find release. You'll have to explore the mysteries of Omikron, uncover the evil plot pushing it towards ultimate darkness, and fight your way through many dangers. You're the only hope of the Omikronians, and even your own fate is at stake. Sure, you might not believe it, but let's suspend disbelief for a moment. What if it's all true?

Omikron: The Nomad Soul, came way ahead of its time, with its lush and complex virtual world, diverse gameplay mechanics, and original immersive storytelling. It succeeded in creating an illusion of stepping into another world and obliterated the barrier between the virtual reality and our own. The project was so fresh, imaginative, and ambitious that David Bowie himself was more than willing to take a prominent part in the production. You can even meet his lookalike in the game and listen to him performing!

A brave new world awaits you in Omikron: The Nomad Soul, for only $9.99 on GOG.com. Just be advised, we take no responsibility for whatever happens to you in the other reality.
I have the retail version (still waiting to be played), but this probably deserves to be bought on GOG too at some point.

There certainly has been lots of requests for this. Could we get Oni next, please? :)
Yes I can confirm it has widescreen support
Simply amazing!
I remember posting on the forum a few days/weeks ago that this was my most wanted release on GOG, and there it is! :D
Thank you GOG!
Great news, this game is awesome!!!!

It has a high replayability and ages well.
Went straight to 1920x1080 resolution for me, looks really nice for its age.

One major problem for me though, as soon as I start the game the Windows mouse pointer locks to the center of the screen and is visible at all times, can't use mouse ingame either, sure you could look around if playing with mouse previously, usual 3rd person game usage with mouse.

Going to have to try a few of the compatability options now to see if I can resolve it.
Impressive
Nice release and very good game even though its FPS portions are not quite good and the final boss is incredibly difficult.

Wishlisted for now as I have have the discs somewhere and I am not in a hurry to play it again.

Also, the soundtrack would have been great.

Sorted the mouse issue, just had to set it to XP compatability and Run as Administrator was already checked, now pointer is hidden.

I also seem to remember, its all flooding back now that you only use the mouse for the shooter bits and to look around in first person.

360 controller goes nuts like a lot of old games so I can see an Xpadder profile getting setup today!!!!

I seem to remember playing this with my old Microsoft Sidewinder at the time which was DirectInput given the year
Didn't David Bowie collaborated with something in the game.
At last. The only game that I've waited to appear here. This game is seriously very good, if you haven't played it, do it now.

He did the soundtrack for it, you also get a version of him later in the game - kind of like the movie Labyrinth back in the 80's where he had a smallish part but it was important.

Don't forget also, this game is done by Quantic Dream (David Cage), you know, the guys that later went on to do Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) and Heavy Rain, it was one of their first if not first main game.
OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD.

Ahem.

I played a demo of this as a kid and was obsessed with it. I got an old Dreamcast and burned a copy of it for that system but it just wasn't the same and was rather buggy, but now I can finally, finally play this. Thanks GOG!
Awesomo, been waiting for this since the dawn of GOG.
I remember, back in 1999, how I was excited about this game when I read about it in (I think) a french PlayStation magazine. And you know what ? I NEVER had the chance to try it. Thank you GOG!
This is freakin fantastic.
I love this site.
I'm buyin this next chance I get.
Thank you GOG.
