IronArcturus: I've never heard of this game before. What is it like? Does it run in a window?
You can run it in a window, yes :)
I'd grab this one, but I've already got a big enough RPG backlog. Why must I be tempted so...... O_______o

Ixamyakxim: I don't know if it runs in a window, but it's a random dynamic Action RPG (Diablo, Torchlight). The big selling points are the fact that quests have consequences, monsters can overrun your town and the people of the town interact both openly and "behind the scenes" with / against you and each other. Check out the Enigmatic Hint thread for a few ideas of what can happen in a playthrough.
Interesting! The game kind of reminds me of Darkstone.
It runs great but that angle is going to take some getting used to.
So it seems like you generate a town to save when you start a new game. About how long does it take to "finish" a town? Does it get too grindy? All in all, it sounds interesting.

JudasIscariot: And no regional price :)
Oh dear, am I "that guy" around the GOG offices now? :s
Somehow unexpected but nice release. I already own it from the Soldak site but I purchased it here too to have it on my GOG shelf. But what is the serial number for?
Where is cinemaware games ? :(

I never had to grind for levels if I set the town at a normal level of difficulty :) If you set the difficulty just right, for you, then the exploration of the dungeon has a nice flow as you're never stuck in a grind mindset. Not only that but you get warp stones so you don't have to climb through every floor ;)

Now if only GOG could get all of the nGlide/3dfx games to run in a window! :)

Nah, but the topic itself kind of is :)

Besides, you do have a GOG Mix dedicated to regional prices so.....yeah :D

phaolo: I've never heard of this game before. It has a nice look, but the graphics seems similar to Dungeon Siege (in 2002).

JudasIscariot: Yeah but the gameplay is solid in this one :) When was the last time an action RPG killed off your shopkeepers via a demon invasion? :D
Diablo II? Though Griswold's fate was far worse than death... :(

Anyway, interesting release, though it's a shame there is (currently) no Gold/Special/Definitive/GOTY/insert other here Edition that includes both the base game and add-on.

But Griswold's death was a scripted event, no?

tinyE: SIDE NOTE, since it was mentioned in comparison, am I the only one who found Dungeon Siege incredible for the first few hours and then repulsively boring for the last 10?
No, snowkatt and I were just talking about that in another thread. I've owned it for about 10 years and still haven't finished it even with multiple attempts.

Well, I have a number of GOGmixes. And I like information. I'm less of a crusader on regional pricing than some members (in that I will actually buy a regional priced game), but I suppose I am one of the de facto leaders of the charge on the topic.

Bit a shame to be known for just that now, after the other things I've done. I think I'd rather be known for my game rights research or promotion tracking, or even my Insomnia boosterism.
