Not an amazing game, but an interesting release that I'm definitely picking up.
Stupid question:
It's relatively new and visually looks stunning, but it's only 150MB. Anyone know how it will run on an older system because I've found smaller games that look that good are smaller because they utilize shit my fossil PC doesn't have.

Either way I am SOOOOO tempted to risk it.
Insta-Buy for me at that price!
Good job GOG. ;)

How fossilized is your system?

It should un on a Windows XP notebook no probs :)
I've never heard of this game before. It has a nice look, but the graphics seems similar to Dungeon Siege (in 2002).

Yeah but the gameplay is solid in this one :) When was the last time an action RPG killed off your shopkeepers via a demon invasion? :D

2007 but it is a really good PC for 2007 and if it runs on a notebook I should be fine.
Heres to hoping my brother sees how desperate I am for new hardware when he flies up here next week. :D
high rated
I would like to give a shoutout to lowyhong who posted about Din's Curse and Soldak Entertainment in general on these forums a while back :) Thanks for showing me Din's Curse :)
SIDE NOTE, since it was mentioned in comparison, am I the only one who found Dungeon Siege incredible for the first few hours and then repulsively boring for the last 10?

You should be good then :)

You can always try a Linux install on that machine and run the Linux version :D

ill probably buy this later in that case...
This is a very fun ARPG - more dynamic than other ARPG's that are available (towns can be conquered by mobs if you aren't careful). When you 'win' a town the game isn't over, you can generate a new town with new problems and dungeons to explore.

Sometimes the game gets a little irritating when you have a bunch of townfolk who 'are starving', so you give them some copper (completing a small quest) only to have them spend it all on booze (thats my thoughts at least) and be starving again rapidly.

Hopefully this will mean that Drox Operative will appear here on GoG as well - its a space based 4xish ARPG with some interesting mechanics (many similar to Dins Curse)

Already own Dins Curse more than once, can't justify buying it again - but it is worth the purchase (and don't let the download size fool you, it has more re-playability than games 10x its size in my opinion)
Awesome release, heard nothing but great things about this game! The one I've always really wanted was Drox Operative but after playing the demo I found it very hard to control (almost painful to use the mouse + keyboard to move my ship around, and I remember firing weapons was awkward). Which was a bummer because Diablo with spaceships seemed like the greatest idea ever ;)

Having this one here might be a nice consolation prize though.

Kind of how I felt about Torchlight, although I wouldn't say I found it incredible for the first couple hours. Interesting and kind of fun, yes. But after that I found it a yawn fest, shut the game down, uninstalled, and never looked back.
