timppu: DLC is sold separately? So is there still a chance of more DLC coming, or is base game + DLC basically the "Gold Edition" already?
avatar
ERISS: Yes, this is golden. Selling the DLC separately is a GOG nonsense, a sellout.
Sellout?
Soldak sells Din's Curse and Demon War separately too.
So I don't get what you mean.

Rodor: And what about loot system? Is it satisfying enough to be compared with Diablo's one? Are there item sets, unique items, slotted items, skill-buffing jewelry and stuff?
avatar
JudasIscariot: There are item sets and unique items, yes. I'll have to double-check about the slots as I am not sure that Din's Curse has such a feature.
What percentage of the non-potion drops tend to be "trash drops"? Titan Quest and Sacred 2 drop equipment at ridiculous rates, but maybe 5% of it will actually be useful to any given character.

(I'd rather get more actual cash and less unusable equipment I have to lug around until I can sell it.)

Not really sure, to be honest, but it's not TOO bad :)
Is it open world-ish like Sacred 1 or Diablo 2 or is it just a town hub and all underground like Torchlight?

"Trash drops" aren't quite as useless as in other ARPGs.

You can use excess equipment to outfit the townspeople, which makes them less squishy when the monsters invade.

Now that's the kind of smart design decision I love to see in games! :) Definitely picking it up on payday tomorrow.

Torchlight / Diablo 1 style. ... Well - except things sometimes happen up in the Townhub.
This game looks rad. Totally buying it when I get some money. Too damn poor at the moment lol.

Was wondering how I never heard of it. heh.

Thanks mate, I prefer topside stuff with random forays into dungeons as opposed to the opposite (does that even make sense lol?). The premise of the random events seems interesting but at the moment I cant afford to take a punt on something I probably will not enjoy.

Thanks again for the reply +1 :)
Imho better to get this than whats on offer with the other current promo (if you have most of the games already... and even then...)
