Bit too much bloodthirsty, don't you think? Patience, young Padawan. There are still few players with no posts. Pseudo-unvote Grynn, Pseudo-vote bazilišek to pseudo-pressure him. Pseudo-FOS Orryyrro and jefesquo (sorry, I can't check your name) I'll be home late afternoon, I'll be able to vote then.

"jefequeso" :3

Yeah, I'm still thinking. I don't really want to just vote randomly.

itai.sharim: I don't find random votes helpful.
From what I understood, and please do correct me if I'm wrong, he was aiming to skip "completely random votes", ergo, votes without substance and completely void of reason. General random votes are incredibly useful though, as has been discussed in previous games :p

Further, if you want, we can spice it up with "chaos theory", which would then bring the conclusion that no vote is random, it all happens for a reason,
can i change my vote? if so

Vote Damnation

since he was the 1st to copy someone else's vote
I was referring to the inability of RVS to catch Mafia members.
I haven't read the first day of every mafia game played on these forums, but I think that in only one game, first day voting nailed a mafia member - which means 1/8 chance.
considering the chance of a truly random voting to catch a mafia is 1/5 in a 3 mafia, 15 players setup, this is bad.

Naturally, townies should bear in mind that the mafia never votes randomly.

BTW, how do I quote from another post?

so...would it be best to go nolynch for today and see what clues come up tomorrow?

And give the mafia(s) a free pass to night 1? No, we need to try and garner as much information as possible during day 1, and hopefully strike lucky with a lynch. Even if we mis-lynch, that'll mean less suspects on Day 2, which gives a better chance tomorrow (with the additional bonus of whatever night actions have taken place) to figure out who the most suspicious people are.

Normally I'd start screaming that requesting a no-lynch is scummy behaviour, but as you're a newcomer to GOG mafia, I'll let you off ... just this once ... ;)

I would assume 4 mafia in a 5 person setup (or 4 anti-town players), but I'm not the most experienced. Something X has said in the secret observer thread for mafia #8 leads me to expect a lot of twists in this game, probably worth bearing in mind.

wasn't the reunion of Robbeasy and nmillar heartwarming?

ViolatorX: Then came the great turf war between Idyllias criminal organisations:The Rezurrection Movement, The Black Vipers, The Shattered hand, and Los Meutra which emerged from the scattered remains of the once great towns tore everything left apart.
Quoting this, as a lot of people seem to have missed it. There is more than one mafia running about in this game.

I imagined them slow motion running towards each other on a beach at sunset.

I read that, but dicounted it.
If we have 4 different Mafias, even with just 2 members each, towen is already outnumbered!

Different mafia factions don't vote together (and probably don't know who each other are) so I think a specific faction would have to outnumber us for us to be doomed.
but 4 teams perfoming one nightkill every night? five deaths a day for 15 players?

The other thought that had occured to me was that maybe this turf war is over.
The 4 factions have 1 member each left, who have now banded together into a 4 person mafia.
oh, our guy was leader of the resurrection movement - Queen ViolatorX. I guess that leaves 3 mafia families. it's possible with some sort of limit to the number of kills per se game 4, was it?
