Itai.Sharim is Closest to lynch at L-3

Offtopic @ robbeasy why do you have a blender anyway?
Post edited November 10, 2011 by ViolatorX
A talkative bunch, aren't we?

This is just to confirm that I'm not lurking, I'm just spending most of my time now either working or cleaning out my brain by sneaking through Arkham Asylum. I'll do a proper reread hopefully tomorrow, there's way too much going on now to just throw in a few casual lines and be done with it.
Working on a large post encompassing everything, might take a while with my habit of going 'Ohhhhhhhh shiny!!!' whenever I start writing a serious post and it taking forever <.<

Offtopic @ robbeasy why do you have a blender anyway?
Long Story - short version is being in the wrong end watching a footy match, being warned to keep quiet and not draw attention to myself, then urging the winger in a broad Northern accent to 'get t'ball into t'bloody box' - whilst being surrounded by Southerners. Was nicknamed The Blender by all friends that were there ever since....

jefequeso: I'm completely operating on instinct since I have little to no expereince with Mafia of any kind, much less forum Mafia. But my sense of it is that Vitek marks the perfect combination of being in the middle of accusations and staying far enough away to avoid suspicion. His posts seem calculated to try and stir up argument and confusion with the least amount of actual substance possible. He's been far from transparent, but at the same time posts just enough to keep from being considered a lurker.

Vitek: Well, thank you. I was worried of being lynched because of lurking and instead I get voted for being in middle of accusations and throwing them around.
Where did I such thing btw.?
Although I disagree with you I accept you resoning.
Barning you and voting me few minutes after your post without previously even slightly hinting such thing... hmmmm, FOS:Cruward_Darkeyes.
what does fos mean?
Here I am, accumulating 5 votes in less than 24 hours.
To think there were voices stating I receive no flak...

@Robbeasy - I will not ry and explain post #77 because I really think there is no way in hell I can make you drop it. But, I will point to a flaw in logic that hopefully will drive you to reconsider. I don't see how post #111 shows a good understanding of the mechanics, but suppose it does.Post #111 game one full day after #77, so it leaves some time to read on the mafia wiki. Plus, nmillar kindly explained some of the mechanics in post #78. I might have caught on it by then. I'm not claiming that the reason I posted #77 is because I was not aware of the mechanics, I'm just trying to point at a possible explanation which seems to me you have not considered - and there might be more...

Post #195 has really gained me a lot of votes at the time, and I think it is time to explain. It is quite common in party mafia (at least where I played) to speculate on possible mafia moves in order for town to come up with a night strategy that will render the mafia as least dangerous as possible (instead of just pretending mafia is stupid). As I saw this was not standard procedure here at the forums (and considered scummy no less) I dropped it and never mentioned it again. I'm not sure as to why the dynamics of play are so different, although I speculate the reason lies in the game setup - which was well known to all players at the party mafia game, but is kept secret here at the forums.

Post 296: Don't really know why you interpreted it as me condemning Rod, but I was actually rebuking baz (see post 304 for clarification). This is also one of the reasons I was surprised everyone said baz received no flak for roleclaiming.

As for post #336 "want to wait for response": You claim this is classic mafia action, and I ask for proof. What are your reasons for asying this is classic mafia action? Have you been following players strategies and creating statistics throughout the various games here at the forum? I think you didn't, and I beleive this is pure speculation on you part. I suggest alternative explanation - I posted rather a long post with many points and wanted to see if anyone would point at flaws in my logic before I vote.

I still don't know if my post will move anyone an inch - but I did the best I could manage.

All in all, I think most of the recent accusations against me are directed to the format of my posts and not to the content of it which makes it hard for me to defend myself.

@Cruward_Darkeyes: FOS means you suspect someone, but not yet voting.

At a more personal layer - I feel I am not making myself clear in my posts and as I see there are many native english speakers on the forum I just wanted to ask. Is my english not well structured or well formed?
More @Robbeasy - You suggest I have baz as a mafia body. Had it been true, why would I regard the accusations on nmillar as weak and receive all this attention Damnation?
Okay.

vote itai.sharim as he is definitely feeling very suspicious right now.

Also, your English is fine, it's more the content of your posts that makes you seem suspicious. Remember to not take any of what happens within the game personally as the game makes everyone have to be extremely distrusting of others within the game in order to win.

This. itai, your english is quite good in my opinion, it's just that I feel you're not really making well formed arguments for your statements, which makes you look rather suspicious to me.
Plus the whole "I'm not voting quite yet" is actually a common scumtell on forum mafia - happens quite often in newbie games over on mafiascum.net.

Anyhow, Rod - I like your post, always think you bring good observations to the desk, but at times, your analysis can be a little off or - at least to me - seem like you do not observe every possibility that can be found in your evidence - baz and itai being scumbuddies, a good theory, but to be honest, I'm not convinced. Otherwise Rod MUST be a third mafia member, otherwise, how would baz be able to make his doc claim, and then be supported in his claim by Rod? It's just this one factor of Rod's information that makes me doubt your theory.

I see your point, but I can't for the life of me see any other reason for Baz to jump up and claim like that.

Robbeasy: I see your point, but I can't for the life of me see any other reason for Baz to jump up and claim like that.
Well, I can explain my reasoning for that: Rodzaju has already very, very unsubtly hinted I had some sort of power role. I presume the mafia is smart and experienced (they may actually be all newbies, but I prefer to expect the worst), and as such have figured that out. On the other hand, there may have been someone on the town's side who didn't figure it out; in such a situation, the mafia would have an advantage over town. So I decided to level the playing field, knowing that at that point, I couldn't really draw more attention to my power role than Rod already did, so there wasn't much to lose.
My top 3 scum reads are:
1) Nmillar
2) Itai.Sharim
3) Grynn (Quite a way below the other 2, though).

As no-one else seems to agree with me about Nmillar enough to vote:
Unvote Nmillar; Vote Itai.Sharim
unvote itai

Not gonna have a quick lynch - you put him at L-1 lets at least give the guy a chance to answer accusations. We got plenty of time!!

IN that case I miscounted.
I had planed to give him -2.

Oh I'm famous for miscounting! He was at L-3 at votecount, then Orry put him at L-2. Your vote made it L-1.

Don't get me wrong - I think he's scum, but as we are nowhere near deadline yet it seems senseless to not use the time we have and at least get some info.
