Did this thread devolve in SJH's bashing on the blues for a product or something?

This argument basically sounds like "His wife is a slut because she took some pictures."

She is a grown woman who took some pictures for a major magazine because she was model and that's what they are paid to do. Something that there is a ridiculous amount of demand for, but if you take part in you some how end up being more morally reprehensible than the consumers of the product - which constitutes most people.

This as a reason for not voting for Trump sounds more like disingenuous slut shaming than anything. Like trying to have a go at her by going through him. I would be shocked, totally shocked, if this was the seediest thing one degree of separation away from Trump given the line of work he is in.

No, those ones, assuming they're moderated, typically get closed down too for the same reason. More typically because it swings straight from mudslinging to downright death threats.

Both my grandmother and my parents taught me it's a bad idea to discuss politics or religion (or, more recently, social issues) unless you personally know the person you're dealing with. The internet taught me WHY.

I want him to win for two basic reasons:

-the establishment, both the left and right, are basically in bed with each other to oust this guy. That tells me something.

-I want to see the media crash and burn after trying their damndest to foil him. The media is corrupt and disgusting, and if he wins, we all win.

Okay, time to put aside the fact that he's an anthropomorphic orange and get serious. You know that I understand hating politicians and the media as well as anyone. What's bad for them isn't automatically good for everyone else, though. Both parties hate him mostly for their own self-serving reasons, sure, but that doesn't make putting a paranoid, narcissistic sociopath in office any better of an idea. I mean, his plans for ISIS include killing their families. Literal war crimes, and he has the gall to pretend that this is "strong" behavior. The man is a monster, and giving him any measure of real power would be a huge mistake.

Well, I'm good with whomever as long as the presidential winner is not Bernie Sanders. That dude just reeks of scams. He'll drive this country in more debt than one could ever bear. If he wins they should change the anthem to "The land of the indebted", not "free".
