GoJays2025: By the way, Number of the Beast is one of the best albums ever recorded.
I second this assertion. The work of Burr and Harris on this album defined a generation of metal rythm sections.

deelee74: It just amazes my how many people say this. I think Sufjan Stevens' music is the worst, wussified crap EVER released.
avatar
GoJays2025: That's fine. I can see how you'd think that. I think his stuff is great for when you just want to chill and relax. You may think otherwise, but it's all a matter of taste anyway.

deelee74: It doesn't make you cool to know some obscure band that noone else listens to. Really, It's likely that they are unknown for a good reason, and maybe you are the idiot with no taste for liking them .

I'm listening to Iron Maiden's "a matter of life or death" album right now, btw.

GoJays2025: Who cares about how many people listens to any given band? As long as you like it, that's all good. You can't be an idiot for liking any band's music, because everyone's tastes are different, there's no 'wrong' taste of music (unless your taste is Justin Bieber) . If you're pretending to like some obscure band because you think that makes you cool... well that's a different story. But you're missing A LOT if you're always listening to bands everyone recognizes.

By the way, Number of the Beast is one of the best albums ever recorded.
That's the correct way of thought. I don't care what people think, I'm doing this for me so fuck the world, feed it beans - it's gassed up imma be what I set out to be and without a doubt undoubtedly and all those who look down on me I'm tearing down your balcony.

Miaghstir: Strangely enough, my brother. And I don't even enjoy rap.
You don't have to and i respect that to the highest degree. You either love it or hate it, but the moment you disrespect my opinion I am, in Eminem's words "tearin' down ya balcony".

Got a double disc special edition of some sort of that one.. A few days after the release, and for a cheap as hell price. Gotta love MediaMarkt.. :>
Just recently found this decent progressive deathcore band called The Contortionist (us metalheads love our subgenres ;)

Speaking of music, whatever happened to the 1-bit symphony thing? Did you actually buy it?

Indeed. 'Twas not an expression of distaste against you or others who do enjoy that style of music, but an expression of puzzlement as to why I listen to it.
