It just amazes my how many people say this. I think Sufjan Stevens' music is the worst, wussified crap EVER released.

Not a sheep....more like the only one here (aside from the stevie wonder guy) that will freely admit that he likes an artist that anyone else has ever heard of.

It doesn't make you cool to know some obscure band that noone else listens to. Really, It's likely that they are unknown for a good reason, and maybe you are the idiot with no taste for liking them .

I'm listening to Iron Maiden's "a matter of life or death" album right now, btw.

That's fine. I can see how you'd think that. I think his stuff is great for when you just want to chill and relax. You may think otherwise, but it's all a matter of taste anyway.
Who cares about how many people listens to any given band? As long as you like it, that's all good. You can't be an idiot for liking any band's music, because everyone's tastes are different, there's no 'wrong' taste of music (unless your taste is Justin Bieber) . If you're pretending to like some obscure band because you think that makes you cool... well that's a different story. But you're missing A LOT if you're always listening to bands everyone recognizes.

By the way, Number of the Beast is one of the best albums ever recorded.
