66% off Deus Ex, Omikron, Startopia, Thief, Tomb Raider, Legacy of Kain, Hitman and more!

It's literally a Weekend Promo². The Square Enix catalog features some of the greatest gaming classics in the history of ever, and we've got quite a few of them right here. This weekend we're featuring the entire Square Enix catalog of nearly thirty titles at 66% off - this promo wins Fair & Square.

Deus Ex, every time you mention it, someone will reinstall it. Now that we've taken care of the formailities - with a huge library of mods and one of the most freeform stories in existence, this is a title that you just can't miss. Though a fair bit more controversial, much of the same can be said about the sequel, Deus Ex 2: Invisible War - a revolutionary cyberpunk experience awaits! We can't let Deus Ex steal all the thunder though, the Thief and Hitman trilogies are not just another set of classic - they're cult series that according to many still exemplify their own brand of stealth perfection. If you're done being sly and looking for a bit of action, you may be surprised to find just how well Lara Croft is aging in the Tomb Raider games.

As always, this is just the beginning - you'll find plenty more goodness in our weekend promo, Fair & Square! It's 66% off the entire Square Enix catalog until Tuesday, July 10, 3:59 AM GMT.

yyahoo: Own 'em all.

Sad that SE doesn't seem to have anything else they want to release on GOG. What was the last SE game released here? Gex? 9 months ago? Considering how much of their stuff they've almost literally given away in bundles recently, you'd think they'd be ready to go ahead and release them here...
avatar
Grargar: Honestly speaking, I'd rather they release their older stuff here first. Still waiting for the second Gex...
Has anyone compiled a list of SE owned titles that aren't here yet?
Going to echo what everyone else said already: Some nice games in this promo, but I'll be much more excited when SE actually bring some new ( or "old new" ) releases to GOG. :)
Did anyone ever try that Daikatana?

gamesfreak64: i got myself Gangsters: Organized Crime

Pheace: If you're playing on a newer OS please let us know how it works :)
The game runs fine on Windows 7, if that's what you're wondering. Windows 8 doesn't seem to be supported, though.

You can say that for a lot of bigger publishers that are here. Nice stuff but where are the newer games. Square, WB, Disney, Paradox, etc.

Sadly I have 8, though soon 10 I guess
Daw, slow week. Have all of Squeenix's stuff on GOG, it would be nice if we got more.
Already bought all of 'em. More Squeenix releases, please.

I own that game. Twice.

It's not really as awful as a lot of people claim it to be, as it's just really, really mediocre. What pulls it down are the annoying difficulty, dreadfully stupid AI companions and a boring beginning chapter.
There are some rather interesting and inspired ideas in Daikatana, but the execution overall is simply not that great.
I'd say the game is worth trying at least once, but there's not much to it, not even enough to really support its infamous reputation.

Yeah, I've read in other reviews that the AI was pretty bad. How many levels were dependent on the AI "buddies" in the game? Were there any escort missions in Daikatana?

Ah yes. I own this game thrice: GOG, Steam, big box physical copy.

It's nice to see what seems to be a neutral review. The game is simply a case of being overhyped. Because of the name of the creator associated with it we all expected the next franchise king, but clearly we got a mediocre game. While it has many flaws it's not the utter rubbish that it gets labeled as (in my opinion, any way.)
Picked up Total Overdose today. Not sure where the issue lies but it won't work over a KVM. So far its the only game I've tried that has had this issue. In order to fix the issue I used DXWind (an amazing app I wish I knew about years ago). Now its passing video over KVM, but not ALL audio. Gunshots aren't passed or any AI sounds if there are any. As I've never seen this before, I'm tempted to think the issue is with the game.

As for the game itself... looks good so far. Can't wait to have some time to get into it. As others have said.. more games from existing publishers!

This is good for me to see. I could never get into this game. Maybe knowing the game gets better will help me dive in a bit deeper at some point. Every time I started that game I could think of a hundred games I'd rather play and quit.

AI is fine, you just need use sidekick commands to aid them and not rely on their own pathfinding.

Chapters 4 and 3 are the best in Daikatana.

UbiSoft, EA... And what the heck are SEGA, Capcom or other Asian devs/publishers waiting for? :(

Warner and Nordic are doing all right, I suppose. And TellTale have been quite "GOG-friendly" lately.

Don't forget about Microsoft! We need Age of Empires and Freelancer!
