Hope this one comes out. It was pretty awesome. I still see this game bundled with AoE 2 selling for a pretty low price at brick and mortar stores, but since i don't have a optical disc drive, never had a reason to pick one of those up.

Hoping Microsoft allows GOG to distribute this. Really great game.

Age of empires - better than AOG2 and AOG3! And the camel sound effect just cracks me up!! Connect the computer to the sterio during a party, then click on the camel in AOG1 and watch everyone turn their heads, WTF??? Funny shit!

@Midnightshade Explain how Age of Empires 3 complete landed on steam? I think with a lil' bit of cash they could go for it, I own original AoE RoR, I don't care much about it but I would really like the game to have its 2nd chance

@keeveek It is true they no longer support them however they still sell. You can still pick it up or order it from BestBuy.

@Midnightshade I can still find Age of Empires 1-3 at BestBuy, I almost feel sometimes like picking up the Gold/Platinum Version, also if you spend time to look it up you can find batch file fixes to run the games on a Win7 Ultimate 64bit system, which is what I run.

If they can give distribution rights to multiple companies to sell AoE as physical budget titles, then why not here?

I agree it needs to be on gog, but don't hold your breath. Any game from Micro$haft, won't be found online...if its not on the crapbox 360 too. Sad but true. Try finding Age of Empires 1-3, Mechwarrior, Flight sim, or Frelancer... you won't. Reason being that they closed all their classic PC only studios to focus on casualized titles on 360. They want nothing to do with the franchises and just sit on the names. MS is so greedy of a company that they won't put these titles on places like GOG or steam because they wouldn't get 100% profit. They won't release on their own services because the demand isn't as high as Gears of war or halo (you ever notice that is all they put out anymore unless its a cheaply made kinect game?) So again don't hold your breath for any of these classics, from back when MS was run by people that actually cared about PC gaming. Nowadays its all about balmers next billion.... Sad but True.
