Its a good thought, though it turns out I had already voted for Discworld, Lemmings, The Neverhood, and even Myst

'course now I am picturing lemmings trudging steadily through the streets of Ankh-Morpork. Some stop at random intersections yelling "Oh No!" holding their heads, then they explode like little blue fire crackers....
Pretty sure I already put my vote in on all of these, but I just have to express my love for Flashback. I first played it as a young man on the Sega Genesis and I recently bought the HD remake on my PS3. The original was mind blowing (rotoscope animations were sick!), and while the remake was good, it did suffer from failing my nostalgia expectations. Getting the original here would be amazing, plus it would compliment Another World very nicely!
The Marathon games are available for free on Bungie's website, but I don't see why it shouldn't come to GOG. Marathon is technologically advanced for its time.

I wish EA would release The Neverhood on GOG, but all they've been doing since they bought the IP was sit on their "asset".

Why would they do that? Do they really own the rights to the game completely? Are there technical problems getting it to run on modern systems? There's got to be an explanation. I seem to remember Doug TenNapel and Pencil Test Studios tried to convince EA to let them make a sequel to The Neverhood. They were shot down, hence the spiritual successor, Armikrog.

Id like to see Marathon here too; they're classics and still worth playing today, wouldn't mind to see them getting a bit more attention, especially with Aleph One making them playable for pretty much anyone.

And yes, Myst III and IV really are missing, especially with all the others already being here. Riven and IV were my favourites...
fffffuck i already voted for the discworlds
can i vote again ?

i dont really see them being re released any time soon though

teeny weeny games turned in to perfect entertainment then back to teeny weeny games again and went tits up in 2001 with only a port of discworld noir to the ps1 under that moniker

psygonsis is owned by sony ( and has been dead since 2012 )

gt interactive went defunct in 200 was absorbed by infogrames in 2000 which turned in to atari in 2003 and begun its own death spiral

the discworld rights are no doubt owned by the terry pratchett estate
and god knows who owns the games
sony
who ever owns the assets of perfect entertainment
or whoever owns the assets of gt interactive
and tantalus media also had a stake in perfect entertainment which they bought back

gog needs a miracle to untangle all this

then again they untangled system shock 2

So, what's holding up the releases of those games, an agreement between Cyan and Ubisoft?

more or less
but 3 and 4 are original ubisoft creations they are not part of the cyan inc myst line up
cyan owns the myst IP but ubisoft owns myst 3 and 4 lock stock and barrel

i wouldnt be surprised if cyan doesnt regard 3 and 4 as canon

5 and uru were developed by cyan
3 and 4 by ubisoft montreal and presto studios

tfishell tweeted Cyan:

tfishell: "Is there *any* chance @Ubisoft would let you buy the rights to Myst 3 and 4 for re-release on @GOGcom? :)"

Cyan: "The community needs to actively / vocally want this to happen."

guess its time for myst fans to become vocal i suppose
I added my vote for Discworld, I still have the game on CD, but wouldn't mind seeing it show up here on GOG. Good stuff.
The Lemmings series being in the clutches of Sony seems like quite the hurdle to clear to get computer re-releases.
Would be great to see those here.
In particular, I absolutely love The Neverhood, though I'm not sure how likely it will be to get, even with a lot of votes.
As far as I know, EA currently owns the rights to it and Doug Tennapel (original creator), among others, have tried making a deal to rerelease it, or something for years, to no avail.
I guess we need to be content with Armikrog, at least for now.

I tweeted her a little while ago but deleted it because I was unsure if asking about the Discworld games was "too soon", since Terry/her dad passed away only a few months ago. Maybe, maybe not.
