ElPrimordial: Since we're in 25 anniversary of Doom I was hoping a much better discount... oh well, let's wait for 30 anniversary then...
avatar
Lucian_Galca: I was hoping for gog to get the original non-BFG version of Doom 3 as well, but it seems that will never happen.
At least adding it as a bonus extra like many other titles have done would be wickedly appreciated.

Thanks .

RWarehall: Hopefully that means they have been reserved for the Weekly Sales following this. GoG has to put something on sale and it would be a little silly putting all the same games from this sale with the same or lower discounts.

Sarang: So Nihon Falcom and Shelter 2? Strange. I wish GOG would've continued the daily deal until these games mainly because I was hoping to see "Trails In the Sky" at $8 as a daily deal along with the Second Chapter at $15, not like
$20 or whatever the regular sale price appears
The same goes for Cold Steel. I would jump at buying Cold Steel 2 at $15.
edit: I forgot "Dreamfall: The Longest Journey" isn't listed on the sale. Very strange.

None of them are on sale. I had thought they would be a daily. Guess not?

Thank you very much for SOMA! :)
Thanks for the free game, and happy New Year to all.

Glamdring7: Has anyone else seen Deep Sky Derelicts about 75% off near the beginning of the sale, during a daily deal?
Surely it was a mistake, it was a ridiculously low price compared to now.
It was 65% off, and it lasted for the complete 24 hours, daily deal. If it was a mistake GOG would have addressed it.
Thanks for SOMA...

True, makes sense. Thanks.

I doubt it. I can already see the complains coming.

OK, after some hesitation I admit - I really like the sale.

I can complain that discounts are not big enough, there are no spectacular bundles etc., but I must also admit that:
- we received amazing freebies for nothing
- Everspace is also quite nice incentive
- a lot of games in GOG Connect
- some Daily Deals was really exceptional
- there is still a lot of games below their historical low and some classics in ridiculous prices
- there are always reasons to complain and not enough wishlisted titles received big enough discount, of course, but I can see also that if my library was smaller, the current sale would be amazing opportunity to purchase a lot of great titles/series in very decent prices

Thanks, GOG!

Agree with most of what ciemnogrodzianin is saying above.

Personally I'm glad for the sale and it sometimes felt like a treasure hunt waiting to see what the Daily Deals were. I look forward to more sales, even if the price doesn't always match what I desire.

If not for GOG I'd still be playing retail versions (gasp) and for that I can't thank them or the developers who teamed up with them, with enough praises to last my lifetime.

So even if they go in a direction I may not like, my cup of gaming happiness is already overflowing! =D

GOG is part of my gaming family. So GOG and Developers who teamed up with GOG, THANK YOU!

You guys rock and keep it going til the end of time!!!

P.S. I'm also truly greatful for our wonderful GOG community members!

Hey, they seem to have almost completely fixed the homepage in older Firefox versions! I have a working unlock games bar, only one "show more >" button underneath discover games, and a working news section! The only thing broken right now is the "Favorites from: Our Friends" section, and I seriously don't care about that section anyway. Anyone else seeing the same?
