ssokolow: That reminds me. I really have to get around to writing the requisite test suites so I can feel confident in publishing my pack of guidelines and tools for building good .tar.gz release bundles.

The parts I seem to grasp look good to me.

Two days ago I struggled with installing mods in GoG's Linux build of Don't Starve, because there is a ".klei"-folder in /home/username/, but it's only for savestates and mod configurations.
In the end I've found the game and mod folder in
" /root/opt/GOG Games/Dont Starve/game/dontstarve64/mods/ "
ó.Ò Serves me right for using the installer.

Edit: Enough derailed, sorry guys.

I suppose it really is just that that statement above says you can uninstall the launcher that came with those games, it doesn't actually state that the launcher has been removed from the installers for those games. It is just a clarification that is needed. If those games are downloaded now and installed via their installer executable, does the retired launcher get installed with it (for you to then remove) or has the launcher been removed from those installers?
