Field of Glory II

Update 1.5.25 (20 February 2020)

Gameplay:
- If a unit is affected by more than one enemy ZOC, movement options will be now be restricted by all of these, rather than by only one of them as previously.
- Units that evade (from a pursuit charge) in their own turn (before the End Turn button is hit) can now evade again if charged in the enemy turn. Note that this does not apply to evades from pursuit charges that occur in the automated phase after the End Turn button is hit, as that counts as part of the ensuing turn. In the latter case, the unit cannot evade again if charged in the enemy turn.

Units:
- Our grateful thanks go to Paul Adaway, author of TT Mod, for permission to use units from TT mod in the main game, and Stephen Hales of Little Big Men Studios for permission to use his shield pattern designs in TT Mod units. https://www.littlebigmenstudios.com/
- Additional Ancient Spanish units from TT Mod added: Noble Cavalry, Light Horse, Celtiberian Warband, Caetrati, Lusitanian Heavy Caetrati.
- Additional Light Javelin Horse units from TT Mod added: Early Greek, Later Greek (Tarantine), Iranian, Late Roman, Early Thracian, Later Thracian, Lydian.

Army Lists:
- Ancient Spanish list divided into Iberian, Celtiberian and Lusitanian lists, using new units from TT Mod. Sertorian list also updated.
- TT Mod Light Javelin Horse models (see above) replace the previous models in the appropriate army lists.
- Pyrrhic list divided into 280-275 and 274-272 BC lists. Pyrrhic campaign adjusted accordingly.
- Added Greek allies to Antigonid list.

Epic Battles:
- Epic Battle scenarios have been updated to use the new units where appropriate.

UI:
- Close Combat Reports will now always open scrolled to the top.
- Cohesion Test reports (in Close Combat Report and Combat Log) now specify if the reason that a unit “Holds Firm” is that it already dropped cohesion from close combat this turn, and has not scored low enough for a further drop.
- Detailed Unit Information popups (CTRL-L click) will now always scroll to the top when a new unit is selected.
- Rout % will now update immediately when a previously unbroken unit is Dispersed.

Manual:
- Section 12.1.1. Change: “if a unit is in the ZOC of multiple enemy units, the game will decide which one it must move away from – prioritizing primary ZOCers” to “If a unit is in the ZOC of multiple enemy units, its movement is restricted by all of these.”

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed bug that could sometimes cause a surrounded AI unit to get a free turn.

Update 1.1.6.0 (28 February 2020)

Part 6
It's times like this I wish gog allowed bigger post limits, or people posted such in the subforums and linked it here.

(Also this isn't a jab at those who post such and I appreciate what you all do to help us buyers/owners out :))

(I'll likely get low rated for this.....but eh)

Can I ask, if it isn't a passive-aggressive play, complete with a smile emoji and everything, why do you keep making the same point that has already been asked and answered? I'm just curious as to what you hope to accomplish.

By the way, posters of the changelogs, thank you for posting everything in one place! I'm lazy enough that I'm not going to chase everything down subforums and pastebin, or whatever. I appreciate how I can skim, quick and easy, and be on my way to the rest of my day without extra clicks.

I guess one can chalk it mostly up to me being essentially a "grumbly old fart" who likes things done a certain way & likes to bring such up from time to time.....it's more a nagging thing in my mind than something I really need, though it still nags at my mind so I mention it when I see it sometimes.

(Could be my possible autism rearing its ugly head...that is also a possibility)

As for the smilies: I mainly use them to make sure no one takes what I say the wrong way or out of context, etc.

Well actually I've given you a positive rating for this. The best alternative is for GOG to keep the game changelogs properly updated whenever a publisher/developer provides one and then we wouldn't have to publish them here (although this wasn't the case with Grim Dawn). But as we know - that ain't gonna happen.

I also agree with the post limits - they're just a pain in the ar$e - including the cooldown between posts. Makes posting long posts such as my Grim Dawn post painful to say the least.

Not a bad idea about posting it in the sub-forum and simply posting a link here, but I guess consensus would be needed for such an approach. I would have posted the Grim Dawn changelog in the Grim Dawn subforum, but after posting it here with the post limits and cooldown I'd simply had enough.

There's probably nothing that can be done about the post size limit. That is most likely embedded into the forum system and changing that would most likely require to touch a lot of legacy code since the forum software is pretty ancient. I doubt that will be done.

The forum doesn't have a cooldown between posts though. What it does have is a feature: If the same user posts in a thread twice in a row within 5 (or was it 10 ?) minutes the forum system will think the user simply forgot to add something to the previous post and merge them together. In other words, it treats the second post as an edit of the first post and just appends the content of the second post to the first post. This will of course fail if the combined length is over the post limit.

There are several ways to circumvent the merging. The simplest is to wait but that can be a real PITA for a 6 part post as you have seen. The most useful is probably a second account which you only use for posting long changelogs. Simply alternate between your original and the new account when posting the parts then the forum will never try to merge the posts since they aren't from the same user. Result: No more waiting.
What is up with the Ys Memories of Celceta offline installer? It still hasn't been updated yet the one for Oath in Felghana has.

- All 30 of the new turrets now have updated flair denoting what they are. Definitely important for seeing from a distance and in the sidebar what they are!

Godhood [InDev]
Update 0.16.2: Newfound Shores (28 February 2020)

NEW FEATURES
- Islands: Go to differently themed island to convert the unenlightened. Each island has different challenges and rewards. Collect the sunstones to become the one Truth!
- Generosity: A new commandment for you to spread!
- Human Sacrifice: A new tenet to play with!

BIG CHANGES
- Time & Turns: Pressure is removed from the game to make place for God Actions. You will now have a fixed (upgradeable) number of actions between Missions. Rituals either complete immediately or take a Mission to complete.
- Dreams: Appear in the dreams of your Disciples to prepare them for coming challenges!
- Rituals: You can now permanently improve your disciples with Rituals. They're not as effective as Miracles though.
- City Management: There is now one, central, convenient place to build structures, upgrade them, or unlock classes.
- Classes: Every commandment starts with 4 unlocked classes. You can unlock more with Materials.
- Developments & Followers: Followers unlock some buildings, and will be important for the end game and your high score. Developments slowly unlock as you complete Missions or when you collect Development Sparks.
- Crystal Skulls: You have much more Crystal Skulls, and more chances to upgrade and replenish them. The more crystal skulls you have when you complete a mission, the more rewards you can choose from!
- Sacrament Conversion: Instead of depleting an Awe bar, there are now two other ways of victory:
--> converting half or more of the crowd with your glory.
--> breaking all opponents. Violence works best here.
- When a Disciple is broken, that faction loses 30% of it's converts in the Sacrament.
- Broken: A broken character loses a bond. Once a characters loses all 3 bonds, they leave your religion.
- Ability Styles: Abilities now have a style of conversion, like Fear or Grace. Disciples have a preferred conversion style, and are more likely to learn these abilities. Some passives already work with it, but it will become more important in the future...
- Offerings: You can spend offerings to improve the effect of your actions!

CHANGES
- Tutorial: Game comes with an improved tutorial.
- Development Trees: Development trees are more balanced, and have more options.
- Big Miracles: The commandment miracles have special effects.
- Music: Some new music has been added.
- Adoption: Converting a whole island will give you the chance to adopt one of their tenets.
- Upgrades: There are many, many more and better upgrades. e.g. upgrade the amount of XP you get from a Sacrament, or what kind of dreams you can give to your Disciples.
- Many More: Many more smaller changes!

FIXES
- So much that I don't know where to begin. The Mac/blocked text bug is still there though, unfortunately
Standalone installers updated: 0.15.13 ⇒ 0.16.2.

(strangely enough, GOG lists only Windows under the game details, while all three platforms in the system requirements on the game page; on top of that, the Windows editions aren't identical under game details and system requirements).
