Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales


Update 1.01 (04 December 2018)

Together with the console release of the game on December 4th, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales will receive patch 1.01. With this update, our main focus is increasing the difficulty level of the “Battle-Hardened” and “Bonebreaker” modes as well as fixing major and minor issues, such as bugs, achievements, card abilities and typos. The full list of these changes can be found below.

General:

The “Battle-Hardened” and “Bonebreaker” difficulty settings now scale your opponents’ power and armor values depending on the map.

Game fixes:

Fixed an issue whereby left-hand side icons would sometimes disappear after exiting the camp.
Fixed an issue whereby the Grey Rider would not count all of the Golden Chests discovered during the playthrough.
Fixed an issue whereby the Strays of Spalla’s ability was not enhanced for a row affected with Fire +.
Fixed an issue whereby the game would crash during the Battle for the Bridge in certain circumstances.

Fixed an issue whereby the Charges for Dwarf cards with Order abilities would not refresh or be increased by cards that have the ability to do so.
Fixed an issue whereby interactions with various game elements would sometimes be impossible following a cutscene.
Fixed an issue whereby an exclamation mark icon would not disappear from the Command Tent even though none of the cards in the “Meve’s Army” deckbuilding screen were flagged as new.
Fixed an issue whereby loading a game file that had been saved while Meve was admiring a distant vista led to incorrect camera behavior.
Fixed an issue whereby the Weak Point card in the battle was not immobile.
Fixed an issue whereby Mahakam Shieldbearer was able to target bosses with his ability.
Fixed an issue whereby hovering over the opponent's leader in the Hym puzzle incorrectly displayed a Rotfiend leader tooltip.
Fixed an issue whereby Treasure Maps would sometimes not get added to the inventory.

* Adjusted invulnerability windows across all difficulties. The windows are consistent on Balanced, Challenging and Apocalyptic and even more significant on easy.

##### Fixes:

* Added FOV scaling to keep correct FOV on 21:9 monitors.
* Fixed various crash issues.
* Added Force Respawn functionality. This option is available in the game options menu. It will kill Fury and return her to the last Vulgrim Waypoint that you visited. This option is a last resort to be used if you think you are stuck in an area for whatever reason.
* Added functionality on Force respawn that will force the hollows to re-equip to Fury. This is for the issue where Fury’s hollow abilities appear to have stopped working.
* Fix for issue where Force blocks were getting stuck in Scar. If you have encountered this issue, it should destroy the stuck block, and if you come back to the area, it will reload the block in the correct starting area.
* Fix for issue where certain stacked breakables wouldn’t break in Bonelands.
* Fix for issue that would break Gluttony fight. Fix should also fix saves that had this issue.
* Fixed multiple issues where players can get Fury into unintended locations or unintended locations without expected Hollows (in some cases Force Respawn may need to be used).
* Reduced Fafnir enhancement’s damage output.

What's up with the missing Linux updates for Everspace and This War of Mine?
Both received some rather significant updates for Win and Mac, but the Linux installers are still the old versions.

What's up with the missing Linux updates for Everspace and This War of Mine?
Both received some rather significant updates for Win and Mac, but the Linux installers are still the old versions.

Everspace is 1.3.3.3 (since 23 November!) on Win and Mac and still 1.3.2.3 on Linux
This War of Mine is 5.0.1 on Win and Mac and still 4.00 on Linux
Add CrossCode and Surviving Mars to that list of outdated games.

Well, this time it was not my blunder, I just reported what the API stated in both instances :).

It seems the 1.05.1 installers were never added on the 29th of November, but they did get added yesterday, when someone also updated that particular date string in the changelog (which is, of course, identical otherwise).

* Wandering monsters should now generally spawn a bit farther from the player

The Level Editor is now live and custom maps are playable online and offline. And new multiplayer features like Neutral Cabins guarding the campfires and healing water for those nasty multiplayer burns. Incoming!

The Level editor we used to create the Story Mode hubs is now available for making multiplayer maps! Custom maps can be played online via Steam Workshop (Steam only) or offline (all platforms except PS4).

Gameplay
Massive changes to some core design incoming! High level players have long complained about Campfires creating too much imbalance and reducing player choice. So we made them into cabins that have a neutral defender that must be killed before claiming!
Campfires are now Cabins When I originally designed the campfires, this is always what I intended for them to be: civilian pigs holed up in cabins out in the wilderness that you kill and cook on a spit. The cabin resident has a gun that shoots once per second for 3 damage. Once the cabin is destroyed, you must still spend 60 food to light the campfire. Campfires can be extinguished and re-lit just as before.
Change your Deck size You can now battle with up to 9 unit types, or as few as 1! Try out vs battles with the original 3 units we designed the game around: squirrel, ferret, and bullet hive.
Also:
Water heals in multiplayer - 1 HP per second, even outside territory.
Super Random Decks - Random decks now choose 1 tier 1 unit and then fill the remaining slots with entirely random selections.

Balance Changes
Some sweeping changes to unit balance, as researched and tested by our community! Aside from the headline Mole and Landmine changes, one subtle but interesting change is that short range units now also have a slightly shorter aggro range, preventing them from getting pulled and sniped quite so easily.

* Mole- Now spawns from a single tile warren, which can be built anywhere. Up to 3 moles can spawn from the warren, like any other Tier 1 unit. Mole Warren has 25 HP. Mole now has 14 HP, 3 DMG, 6 DMG to structures (was 21/2/5). Aggro range is 3 (was 4).
* Lizard- 8 HP (was 7). Aggro range of 3 (was 4)
* Squirrel- 0 second cast time, 1 second cooldown (was 0.25, 0.75). Removed movement freeze (was 0.25 seconds)
* Toad- 8 HP, 3 DMG to all affected units, 12 DMG to structures (was 7HP, 12 DMG to target, 3 DMG to AOE, no structure crit). Aggro range of 3 (was 4)
* Chameleon- 8 DMG/32 HP (was 6/40). Stealth Entry/Exit time is now 0.5/0 seconds (was 0.25/0.25). Aggro range of 2 (was 4)
* Skunk- 32 HP (was 29)
* Snake- 0 second movement freeze after attacking (was 0.25)
* Boar- 110 HP (was 100)
* Fox- 20 DMG per shot (was 24)
* Balloon- 14 DMG/20 HP (was 15/30). Visibility of 12 tiles (was 10). Fires every 2 seconds (was 3)
* Landmine- 8 HP, 18 Single target DMG, 2 DMG AOE (was 5 HP, 12 AOE DMG). Explosion radius 2 tiles (was 1.75). Activation time is 0.25 seconds (was 0.4) Applies a 1 second daze to all affected units that reduces attack/movement speed to 60%.
