#### Update 1.23.4 (21 November 2018)

Hi everyone!

We’ve been working on some structural changes for this update, particularly in
Clearance Level 10. Some story elements have been repositioned, including the
opening prologue and some early scenes. Our goals are to get you into gameplay
quickly, space out the early story development, and allow you to advance to a
higher difficulty level earlier. However, no missions have been removed,
simply relocated to different points in the story, or made optional.

Home missions now have a lock-out deadline, so that you’ll now face a
(forgiving) time pressure to make the experience a little more intense. As
usual, we have also made several usability improvements, such as making the
PeepR tutorials more easily skippable.

We’ve made an effort to ensure all existing save games will work with these
changes, and while we haven’t encountered any issues with this, it’s possible
that some saves in CL10 might load in slightly the wrong place - this is why
the update is currently in beta, so please let us know if this happens!

Thanks so much for your continued feedback and bug reports! If you have any
bug reports or suggestions to make - you can also visit this board to post
them:[https://trello.com/b/ABG1gSZb/need-to-know-bugs-feature-
requests](\\https://trello.com/b/ABG1gSZb/need-to-know-bugs-feature-
requests\\)

To access the beta update, go to Settings in GOG Galaxy and select ON from the
drop down menu in the Beta Channels option on the right hand side. A
Channel option should now be visible. You can now select the Beta channel
from the dropdown menu.

For a list of the changes made in v1.25.0b, see below:

* Changed Clearance Level 10 structure to get to gameplay quicker, by moving some scenes to later in the Clearance Level and rearranging some other sections
* Added dialogue option to skip to end of Clearance Level 10 without needing to complete all side missions
* Removed some redundant dialogue from Clearance Level 10
* General bugfixes and typo fixes

v1.25.0b also includes the following changes from v1.24.0b:

* Added time pressure to home missions, as CodeX system now has intrusion detection
* Changed automatic layout of evidence to place items higher-up by default
* Changed home mission rule panel to allow more information to be displayed at once
* Fixed issue with auto-layout of evidence that occurred when there was hidden evidence
* Fixed issue with Peepr sometimes incorrectly appearing on-screen during home missions

For a list of the changes made in v1.23.4, see below:

* Fixed issue with Peepr sometimes incorrectly appearing on-screen during home missions

* Meals cooked from village ovens no longer ever bestow a permanent +1 AV.
* Cooking recipe names are now more varied (there'll be less names like Baklava with Smoked Baklava on top of Baklava).
* Adjusted the way fish and farmers feel about each other.
* Data disk descriptions now indicate if you already know their blueprint.
* Once open, the double doors in Grit Gate no longer permanently re-lock if you close them.
* NPCs now don't want to trade their natural weapons as often.
* NPCs are now smarter about what equipment they use.
* NPCs no longer compulsively remove old gear before equipping new gear.
* Fixed a bug that caused companion NPCs not to consider whether they should equip new gear after you trade with them through via the chat menu.
* If you recruit Indrix after completing his quest, he no longer immediately equips the amaranthine prism.
* Wardens Esther now equips her shield.
* NPCs no longer attempt to fire missile weapons at targets further away than their weapons' maximum range.
* NPCs are now willing to fire missile weapons and throw thrown weapons at targets that are occluded by other hostile creatures.
* Fixed a bug that caused NPCs to not fire heavy missile weapons at targets protected by force fields.
* Recycling suits, portable beehives, and other liquid-generating equipment no longer generate liquid when unequipped or equipped improperly.
* Pathfinding now prefers not to walk over ironshrooms.
* Wearing multiple compass bracelets no longer cumulatively reduces your chance of getting lost.

* [modding] Removed most of the extraneous XPvalue stats on creature blueprints.
* [modding] The NavigationBonus part is now an IPoweredPart with that class's fields and WorksOnEquipper = true. Its Amount field is now a string PercentBonus die roll that defaults to 10. It has the following new fields:-- SingleApplicationKey -- a string that, if provided, is used as the name of an event parameter that the part sets on events it is applied to. It won't modify events that already have the event parameter, so that navigation bonuses can be made non-cumulative.-- TravelClass -- a string used to specify a skill name, like the TravelClass attribute on terrain objects, so that the part only applies to travel in that skill's specified terrain.-- ShowInShortDescription -- a boolean for whether the part appends its behavior to the item's short description, defaults to true.

LEGRAND LEGACY: Tale of the Fatebounds

#### Update v2.0 (22 November 2018)

Hello, Legrandians!

Thanks to the feedback and recommendations from you guys, we’ve finished our
complete rewrite of the games script, fixed a few bugs, and straightened out
other minor issues, and today… the motherlode finally hits our GOG store.

That’s right, the all shiny, all new and improved Legrand Legacy v2.0 drops
today! If you’re wondering what this means for your gaming experience, read
on.

##### MAJOR CHANGES TO COMBAT AND BATTLE SYSTEM

We have replaced the old battle system completely and re-coded from the ground
up. This massive update includes:

* a. Significant improvements to combat camera and new impact effectsYou will see that camera movements during battles have been upgraded with dynamic angles and we’ve added fancy impact effects to make your heroes feel all the more badass.

* b. Difficulty selectionWe included a difficulty selection to cater to your needs. Want to enjoy the story but think the combat is too hard? Play on “easy” and breeze through your adventure. Up for a hardcore challenge and want to put your gaming skills to the ultimate test? Play on “hard!”

* c. ACT mode option (easy or off/automatic)After a lot of feedback, we discovered that some of you don't like to have to press the ACT with every turn, so we’ve added the option to make the ACT dial easier OR to turn off the ACT completely and make it automatic instead.

* d. Updated enemy AIWhile updating the code of our combat system, we discovered that some of the enemy AI did not work as intended. We have fixed those problems.

* e. Rebalanced most of the combatAfter fixing the enemy AI, implementing a new difficulty selection, and the automatic ACT, we have also updated the combat balance to fit the new AI. Enemies are smart but not too smart!

* f. Move command no longer takes a character's whole turnYou will now be able to perform an action after moving and not waste a character's whole turn just to reposition.

* g. Improved Arcana cinematicsWe have improved the cinematic sequence during Arcanas so they’re more dramatic. We’re talking about some SERIOUS eye candy here, people.

##### GRAPHICAL IMPROVEMENTS

We have modified the old shaders so the new shaders now enable normal maps,
which means more refined and prettier details on the 3D model textures.

##### COMPLETION OF SCRIPT REWRITE AND EXTENDED ENDING

Following our announcement about our attempt to rewrite the script, this
update completes the revised writing. You can now enjoy Legrand Legacy’s newly
rewritten and polished script in its entirety. Plus, we have also extended the
ending with additional cutscenes to clarify the conclusion of our heroes’
story.

##### SKIPPABLE CUTSCENES

During cutscenes, you can now press the cancel button and then the confirm
button to skip the current cutscene entirely.

##### TACTICAL WAR QUICK RETRY

Now when you lose a tactical war, there will be a prompt so you can try it
again.

##### OTHER MINOR BUGS

As always, we have also fixed other minor bugs.

** ** ** _SPOILER ALERT_****** There is a break and save point in Crimson
Canyon (chapter 8), so you can pause and take a breath between the tactical
wars and boss battle marathon.

Finally, we thank you for being supportive and vocal of the improvements you
wanted to see! We may be a small studio, but we hope that we have been able to
respond to your feedback quickly enough. We can’t wait to hear what you think
about this new update, so don’t forget to LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS after you’ve
tried the new and improved Legrand Legacy v2.0.

Oh and positive reviews would be lovely too!
West of Loathing

#### Update 1.11.1a (23 November 2018)

* The game should run in Windows XP again, probably (we really mean it this time)
* Best Font Mode should no longer prevent text from appearing
* Letters should no longer double-up when you type text in the Linux version of the game. Our apologies for the extra work now required when naming your horse “Balloon”, “Cappuccino”, or “Tennessee Bookkeeper”
* Fan Hammer's description in combat should now accurately predict how much damage it will do to an opponent
* Corrected a typo that was maybe preventing Pete from complaining about his joints in one pretty specific circumstance
* Lloyd will no longer incorrectly say that you have a room at the Jewel if you haven’t gotten one yet
* The ghostly Foreman at the Jumbleneck Mine should now actually disappear if dispatched with the old pickaxe
* It is now possible to get the Kurtzian Charm perk from Irene regardless of whether you already acquired mushroom pliers or not
* Reduced the power of the Energized effect because it was too… energized
* Laid groundwork for the ability to (finally) release some DLC.
* Fixed lots of bugs in new features for the upcoming DLC!
* Did we mention that we're really close to finishing the DLC?
* Real talk for a second: We removed the noose from the tree outside Chuck’s house after someone pointed out the crappy connotations it has. We were oblivious, and we’re sorry.
The following offline installers have also been updated:
-> Kynseed to version 0.1.11.1954
-> Pathfinder: Kingmaker to version 1.1.1d (Windows) and 1.1.1c (Mac & Linux)
-> For The King to version 1.0.10.9415

Balance

Cities now start with 1 tile acquisition radius instead of 2.
Reduced Astra Militarum edicts from +50% production to +33% production.
Increased Astra Militarum edicts from +25% resources to +33% resources.
Increased cost for Necron Monolith by 50%.

AI

Fixed an issue that prevented Neutrals from retreating.
Improved AI tile evaluation (and tiles recommended for founding cities).
Fixed an issue where AI units would still heal instead of defending their city with their lives.
AI will now only make room for more population when they actually have a need for that population because maintaining unused population just puts too much of a strain on the economy.

[CHANGELOG UPDATED]
Update 0.99.23 (26 November 2018)

- Terrain and navmesh updated, probably nothing noticeable, move along

Update 0.99.22 (26 November 2018)

- Escaping from an evil faction cage, like cannibals, no longer tags you as an escaped prisoner
- Fixed using strength or tools to break out of prisoner poles
- Fixed tooltips not showing for the "committing crime" and "escaped prisoner" panels
- Fixed name truncation on character portraits for multi-byte characters
- Update to the roads to fix NPCs getting stuck with long-range travel

Update 0.99.21 (26 November 2018)

- Fix for a suspected crash

Update 0.99.20

- You can now use tools or brute strength to unlock any lock, door, cage or container. Good for treasure hunters, not so good for thieves. Now non-thief characters won't feel forced to learn lockpicking
- Tools are more heavy and expensive than before
- Tools are single use, they break after opening the lock

Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition

#### Update 1.78 (26 November 2018)

**Features:**

* We added a new console variable that enables a over-time FPS display. Type fpstrace 1 into the game console to enable.
* You can type `Gamma x` in the console, where x is a floating point value larger than 0. The default is 2.2. This value is persisted to nwn.ini (under a new configuration key). Gamma only affects the rendered ingame scenery, not menus or UI, as it is applied through a FBO shader, not GL/system-wide gamma correction.
* The game now supports normal DDS textures without having to mangle the header.
* The game now supports KTX texture containers.
* The game now writes out all Aliases to nwn.ini even if the file already existed.
* We bumped the default maximum texture memory to 256MB. Previous settings of 64MB are rewritten to this value. The new minimum is 96MB. The bigger-by-default texture memory should improve stability in some situations.

**Fixes:**

* We fixed lighting uniforms not assigning properly on some GPU drivers. This should address some flickering and maybe improve stability.
* Premium Modules don't show in Other Modules anymore.
* Yet another crash for creature appearances with PERSPACE=0 has been addressed.
* The multiplayer server browser now shows a progress window when downloading the server list. It also switched over to libcurl, which should prove to be much more reliable than the previous solution.
* The chat window will not capture mouse clicks anymore, only scroll events. This means you can once again click through it to action the game world.

##### Server Changes

**Fixes:**

* Greater Sanctuary interacting incorrectly with True Seeing has been fixed.
* A rare server hang when a relayed player suddenly regains direct connectivity has been fixed.
* A bug in RetrieveCampaignObject has been fixed that resulted in a double free issue, crashing the game. This was another 1.69 issue that was unearthed by us switching to VS2017 for the Windows build.

#### Update 1.3.0.11434 (22 November 2018)

OPTIMIZE THE GAMES AND SAVE OUR PLANET -- PATCH NOTES

Global warming is evidently becoming an issue and we still have only one
planet. So we decided to take up a worthy initative – reduce heat emission and
increase the lifespan of our planet, our CPUs and our GPUs – by reducing the
load the game puts on them. It might seem laughable, but as the saying goes –
drop, drop, drop … and you have an ocean!

Since we don’t really have a lot of bugs to fix anymore, we focused on
optimizing everything we can – also as a learning how we can squeeze maximum
from our game engine in our next project.

As a result ---

* FPS increased even by up to 35% in certain areas
* Build size decreased from 18GB to 10.9GB (!!!)
* Loading times have decreased considerably.

If you are interested (I guess mostly fellow developers), we achieved that by:

* Adding an option to limit FPS between 30 and 265 in Settings
* Increasing the compression of textures
* Decreasing the range of shadows rendering
* Optimizing all music and SFX (compression)
* Optimizing what is being rendered and what’s not, if objects are outside of view area
* Turning off reflection probes in real-time
* Decreasing amount of memory allocated to raycast of particles
* Decreasing lightning in places where we use forward rendering
* Adding an option to turn on/turn off anti-aliasing in Settings

##### OTHER IMPROVEMENTS:

* Adding missing Days of Old 9 cinematic (damn, that is embarrassing that we lost this one along the way, especially since this is one of the best one we have)
* Fixed few translations and added few missing ones
* Fixed Quest Log in Ancient Machine quest
* Fixed bug when music sometimes did not resume playing after cinematics
* Fixed volume bar for cinematics (sometimes it stopped working)
* Removed unlimited teleporting option but added an option to teleport to the beginning of the floor at will (unlimited teleporting could potentially break two quests)

#### Patch 1.1.1c (22 November 2018)

Hello everyone!

A new hot-fix for this week.

Please, be aware of the plot spoilers in the description below (in the Quest,
Areas and Kingdom sections)!

##### Quests

* The party could get stuck at the Technic League Hideout area if they entered the location for the first time whilst having failed the Cruel Justice quest. Resolution: fixed (affected saves are also corrected).
* In some cases, The Seed of Sorrow quest could get stuck after leaving the Old Prison area. Resolution: fixed. Players need to start saves prior to the Throne Room.
* Jaethal couldn't be killed if players chose to attack her in the final dialogue during the Reveal My Destiny quest. Resolution: fixed.
* Failing the Burning Bridges quest could lead to issues with other events in the Throne room in some cases. Resolution: fixed.
* The Talk to Shyka objective couldn't be completed correctly in The First Crown quest at the Castle of Knives area if players didn't talk to Salim Ghadafar before. Resolution: the Talk to Shyka objective is not available until players talk to Salim Ghadafar.
* The Troll Trouble quest could not be completed correctly if Hargulka and Tartuk were killed in the same moment. Resolution: fixed.
* Ekun's animal companion could lose its name - received in the Okbo quest - and change size during the Conduct the ritual objective completion (Ekundayo's Bury the Past quest). Resolution: fixed (fix is available for saves that are not affected yet).
* Ekundayo's Bury the Past quest was not considered failed if players refused to take part in the ritual. Resolution: fixed.
* All companions could disappear if players loaded a save during the Ekundayo's A Feast of Feasts quest at the Hunting Grounds area. Resolution: fixed.
* Tristian's the Saving Grace quest was available even if the Hour of Rage quest was completed prior to the Betrayer's Flight quest. Resolution: fixed. If players already get the Saving Grace quest, they will keep it.
* The ''Read Kesten's note'' quest would not complete upon reading the corresponding note. Resolution: fixed.
* The A Bard's Calling quest got stuck uncompleted after Annamede Belavarah's leaving the Rushlight Fields area if players didn't talk to her. Resolution: the quest is marked as failed in this case.

##### Areas

* In rare cases, the Pitax Aftermath could finish incorrectly. Resolution: fixed. For players who have already encountered the problem, the event will be re-started in the Throne Room.
* Players could not select to leap over the fence at Stag Lord's Fortress repeatedly the same way. Resolution: fixed.
* No exit from the Temple of the Elk area. Resolution: the area exit marker is moved to a more convenient location.
* Companions who were not in the roster could appear at the Oleg's Trading Post area after the night visit of Guardian of the Bloom. Resolution: fixed.
* Armag remained hostile even if players made peace with him. Resolution: fixed.
* Jamandi Aldori and Natala Surtova didn't help players in the last chapter even if they promised to. Resolution: fixed.
* Tartuk didn't join the party in the last chapter if all the correspondent requirements were met. Resolution: fixed.
* Nyrissa could be hostile to players during the final battle in some cases. Resolution: fixed.
* The Lantern King could die because of the Area Effect spells in the final dialogue resulting in an incorrect dialogue exit and proper epilogues missing. Resolution: fixed.
* Players couldn't move from the first to the second levels of the Vordakai's Tomb area if they got back from the second to the first levels. Resolution: fixed.
* Ekun's dialogue didn't work correctly after the Test of Loyalty event if one of the options was chosen. Resolution: fixed.
* Some players complained that there could be temporary party control issues during the second visit of the Old Sycamore Caves area after the Tartuk's quest completion. Resolution: fixed.
* One of the fog barriers at the House At The Edge Of Time area didn't work correctly. Resolution: fixed.
* The peasants at the capital came to their senses and don't accuse the baron/ess of hiding the disease when the baron/ess decided to tell them the truth during the Noble Safari event.
* The initial enemy positions were too close to the fog barrier in some places at the House At The Edge Of Time area, resulting in combat issues. Resolution: fixed.
* There were no options to talk to Tsanna at the Shrine of Lamashtu area in the last chapter. Resolution: fixed.
* Allowing Hargulka or Tartuk to keep their kingdom through the Chaotic dialogue option immediately removed the player from the dungeon, missing on possible treasure or resolving the Harrim's companion quest. Resolution: after striking an alliance with Hargulka or Tartuk, they now allow players to finish exploring the dungeon until they leave it on their own.

##### Kingdom

* Using an ultra-wide monitor resulted in cropped UI in kingdom management. Resolution: fixed.

##### User Interfaces

* Companion's portraits could become transparent after their death. Resolution: fixed.
* Filters didn't work at loot boxes. Resolution: fixed.
* Double click didn't function properly sometimes. Resolution: double click functionality was improved. A special setting (Settings > Controls) was added to control the speed of double click.
* An attempt to level up a skill rank caused the modal dialogue to appear with no resulting actions while in the auto-levelup mode. Resolution: fixed.

##### Classes & Mechanics

* Players with specific Operation System settings who played at the Story mode and Normal levels of difficulty could experience an automatic 10-time increase in monster damage after the release of 1.1. Resolution: fixed.
* Medusa's Petrifying Gaze ability worked incorrectly out of combat. Resolution: fixed.
* Buff from Cleric's Strength Domain's ability Strength Surge did not show near the portrait. Resolution: fixed.
* Extra Performance and Lingering Performance had shown Deadly Performance in prerequisites while actually requiring Bardic Performance. Resolution: These feats properly show Bardic Performance as the prerequisite now.
* Area effect buffs could get stuck for not active companions. Resolution: fixed.
* Characters other than the player character could not use diamond dust to cast spells. Resolution: fixed.
* Wild Hunt Scouts no longer drop their scimitars.
* Reflex saving throw did not affect the divine damage part of the Flame Strike. Resolution: fixed.

* Amiri had no visible UI debuff mark while Fatigued. Resolution: fixed.
* Dragonkind II had no cooldown for the breath weapon ability. fixed.

##### Miscellaneous

* Hovering over the Cursed Bombs ability when playing with the French localization could freeze the game. Resolution: fixed.
* Moving between peaceful areas inside your capital no longer triggers autosaves.
* Fixed typo in Renshala's dialogue during the dialogue with Eimar in Pitax.
Need to Know

#### Update 1.25.0

We’ve just released the Refresh Update for Need to Know, featuring a
streamlined start to the game, dozens of usability updates, and all of the
changes and fixes we’ve made since release.

For this update, we’ve focused mainly on structural amendments, particularly
in Clearance Level 10. Some story elements have been repositioned, including
the opening prologue and some early scenes. Our goals are to get you into
gameplay quickly, space out the early story development, and allow you to
advance to a higher difficulty level earlier. However, no missions have been
removed, simply relocated to different points in the story, or made optional.

Home missions now have a lock-out deadline, so you’ll face a (forgiving) time
pressure to make the experience a little more intense. We have also made
several usability improvements, such as making it easier to skip the PeepR
tutorials.

We’ve made an effort to ensure all existing save games will work with these
changes, so please let us know if you experience any issues! As always, thanks
so much for your continued feedback and bug reports. If you have any bug
reports or suggestions to make - you can also visit this board to post them:
requests](\\https://trello.com/b/ABG1gSZb/need-to-know-bugs-feature-
requests\\)

For a list of the changes made in the Refresh Update (v1.25.0), see below:

* Added dialogue option to skip to end of Clearance Level 10 without needing to complete all side missions
* Changed Clearance Level 10 structure to get to gameplay quicker, by moving some scenes to later in the Clearance Level
* Removed some redundant dialogue from Clearance Level 10
* Fixed issue with inconsistent positioning of personal stats panel
* Fixed outcome issue in Operation EchoWell
* Fixed evidence issue in FreshScent
* General bug fixes and typo fixes

v1.25.0 includes the following changes from v1.24.0b:

* Added time pressure to home missions, as CodeX system now has intrusion detection
* Changed automatic layout of evidence to place items higher-up by default
* Changed home mission rule panel to allow more information to be displayed at once
* Fixed issue with auto-layout of evidence that occurred when there was hidden evidence
* Fixed issue with Peepr sometimes incorrectly appearing on-screen during home missions

Wow, this seems a laudable initiative that has also brought considerable improvements to the game, at the first chance I'll support them.
