bler144: there are 8-10 games here that I would want
And you've asked for none of them?
I feel betrayed.

bler144: Compared to the other Community GA, it does certainly seem that a higher percent of these games are toss-aways as opposed to items bought specifically for the GA, and as noted, there are more games from bundles as well, so more people likely have them.
Yeah, I realize that a fairly high percentage of these are bundled, cheap, or otherwise not-so-popular games, hence why I'm much less strict with the rules around here about limits and who's eligible and whatnot. Chances are that even if I DID accidentally give something away to a scammer, it wouldn't be much of a loss.

can i ask for a game, that i would give to my brother? if thats possible too, then i'd like to ask for contagion.
Since there are so many quite unknown games maybe it would help if some people could recommend some games from the list. Most of them seem to be hidden gems and to be honest I don't know most of them.

....so, putting the overly-humble nonsense aside, are you taking it or not?

Sure, that's fine with me.
Granted.

Funny, I was just thinking about doing that.
Maybe I will.

I can take it? I thought being in the ninja giveaway was basically a red herring and I wouldn't be able to look into other giveaways due to it, but sure, do drop the code if it turns out that isn't one of the rules ._.

That's only Sachys and Foxworks who use those rules for TBBOB. The rest of us don't tend to care much.
Granted.

Well, let me help by starting with some recommendations:

Back To The Future The Game: If you are a fan of the movies you cannot really go wrong with this. It is a Telltale games product from a time when they still made real point and click adventures and not just choice based games. The story continues exactly were the last movie ended and you even have Christopher Lloyd in it. Michael J. Fox did only the VO for a small cameo in the last episode but still the voice acting is pretty descent. It is available with German audio as well but the German voices are not the same as in the German versions of the movies and the German audio is also often faulty. So if you want to play this in German I'd recommend using German subtitles instead to not ruin the immersion.

Beatbuddy: Tale of the Guardians: This one I have to recommend because it was developed in my hometwon in Germany ;) No, even though that is true, it's not the reason I would recommend this game. The game is all about music in a nicely drawn underwater world in which you try to collect gems and reach the end of the level. The "try not to get hit" sequences will be interrupted with some logic puzzles in time so that it will not get boring that fast. Every level has different music and this little game is really worth to be checked out.

Cognition Ep 1+2: O.K. I have to confess - I just LOVE Cognition. It is more than a simple point and click adventure and with each episode additional game elements are added to the game. Apart from the changing gameplay the story is just great: suspensful, full of twists and very emotional. Unfortunately only two of 4 episodes are offered here but you may try those to experience the extreme atmosphere the game delivers and the great soundtrack from Robert Holmes (Gabriel Knight) and the credit song sung by his daughter Raleigh Holmes who is also voicing the main character. Cannot wait for Cognition Part II if this should ever happen.

Puzzle Agent / Puzzle Agent 2: If you'll look at screenshots or videos of this game it might seem that there is not much to it but some logic puzzles with simple drawings. But judging the game on its artstyle would be wrong and unfair. If you like movies like Fargo or the TV series Twin Peaks you should really check this out. The gnomes are not what they seem....

Samorost 2; It's Amanita Design, known as some of the most creative developers of flash games (Machinarium, Botanicula) so I don't need to say more. Except maybe that people who want to start from the beginning will be able to play part 1 here for free: http://amanita-design.net/samorost-1/.

And a good one. But each to their own.

Possibly, but I'm a bit more concerned with other community participation. I'd rather judge by how they are rather than where they are.

Let me throw in that since Steam started giving credit for games already owned in Bundle deals, if it turns out you like these games you can pick up the rest at a discount without having to buy the whole package.

Thank you and EPurpl3 for beseecking this title

Totally.

It would be a bit more work, but you could simply
a) reorganize by primary genre (RUSH = puzzle, etc.) and/or
b) put a * in front of titles that have a positive rating.

People would probably be more likely to click links of something in a genre they particularly liked than just randomly out of a [long alpha-only] list.

That said, there are at least a few games in there where their overall 'mixed' rating seems to be partly of a function of value vs. cost. If the game sells for $20 but you're getting it for free, that's not a concern.

This is somewhat of how it was originally set up, but most people (from what I could tell, anyways) seemed to prefer the alphabetical organization.

Not a bad idea, but I've seen people take games with mixed ratings, too. And there is, as you said, the value vs. cost thing.
Howsabout this proposal: An asterisk next to games recommended by other GOG members?

What? You mean nobody bothered to click on Up: The Game?
Man, and I felt so proud of that one, too...
