Lexor: It seemed that GOG to make KB DRM free used 3rd party crack which locked out many game's functions.
As a veteran of TBS I started my 1st game in KB on highest difficulty and I spend days/weeks on this game session but I wasnt able to finish it at all because of many bugs in quests. That spoiled whole KB series to me. Never played this part of KB again and also never played any other KB.
Wait, I don't think I quite understand. GOG cracked the game to bring it here? I thought devs offered their games to GOG and had to make their own DRM-free versions or whatever?

Yes, you did understand correctly.

Look at this post, it's the moment of my discovery of this fact:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general_archive/kings_bounty_gog_version_is_bugged/post188

I asked GOG the same question as you ask me - why didnt they ask developer? I've never got the answer. :P

As someone who played almost all the HOMM games when they came out, I had the KB games on my WL for a long time - tried the demo for one and was kinda puzzled.

That said, it seems to start you mid-campaign and with not much tutorial. I could win combat, but not much conception of what I was supposed to be doing on the map.

Not sure if my blase experience was due to that, and maybe the games are awesome if you just start?
I've never played the demo of KB but the game has tutorial and some kind of story.

If that's a question for me: I think I lost too many hairs fighting with poorly cracked GOG's version to try the game again.
If that's a question from your point of view - I liked the game overall, its GOG's fault I couldn't enjoy it as I should.

It was unclear, but asked from my POV. :)

I've always debated if I should buy a KB game, and the one time I did I put it up in a GA (this one, I think, actually).

The game *should* have been fixed by now, so if you liked HoMM you can try KB.
if it's still available could me ask for LEGO® Batman 2 DC Super Heroes™?
There's some kind Christmas Gift Givers, so thank you to whoever they maybe, I maybe wrong but it strikes me of Doc0075s taste

Could I please get Call of Cthulu: Shadow of the Comet Zeo?
Re: KB, the games are well worth playing and also the infamous Hadar bug in KB:TL can now be circumvented. Also there is a small starting tutorial which can net you a few useful bits and bobs and a small amount of gold which is always helpful in purchasing the extra troop or two :)

Whoops, got waylaid by KB (I love that franchise) if still available may I request Tahira: Echoes of the Astral Empire? Thanks :)

I'd like to request Perception, also should still have some keys, remind me later on Discord or whatever.

Edit: sent some at least.

bler144:
Found KB:TL pretty darn awesome. Granted, not much of a story, just something to keep you going, and the gameplay itself does a good enough job of that. It's all tactical combat, units are your resource, and they're finite. And no AI players, pure PvE, so also no turns outside of combat, so the "one more turn" feeling is replaced by the "one more fight" one, with no downtime in between created by other players' turns in other TB games.

So bought the 2nd here quite some time ago, but still didn't play it. Supposed to also be good, keep saying I should play it, but don't get around to it.
As for 3rd and 4th, with the bad reviews they're getting (and also the fact that 4th makes you be the bad guy, really not keen on that), not sure I'd dare even after playing 2nd.
If I don't break the rules, may I request Tahira?
