I would also like to BUY this game but unfortunately it seems as if it has not received a single update on GOG yet while Steam has received several updates including a feature update. So - that's what I do when I am not at work - I contacted the devs on e-mail (mail returned), facebook messenger, facebook comments, steam forum and so far not a single reply , no explanation ... nothing. Not a behaviour I am willing to support. So if you should get the game (and I don't see why not) maybe you could help me push them from their high horse :)

Aaaah - nevermind. It's useless. The game won't get updated because devs have issues with GOG.

Those are older ones that i found via a quick google but it's happened more recently as well.

And the only answer to Luxors question in the thread posted by GOG in 2012 was

"All I know is we're using the files provided to us for our release; I do not know why there's any version number discrepancies, but all the bugs should be addressed now. Asking why things are the way the are, after a certain point, seems more like a philosophical endeavor than a necessary one. ;)"

So normally those files are provided by the devs or by the publishers. If that should in fact be the case it would not be GOGs fault to accept those. It MAY be that the devs simply wanted to make a DRM-free build for GOG the easy way providing the cracked exe along with it without GOG knowing it. Of course I don't know if this actually is the case and the person who wrote the above is not on GOG anymore.
