Thank you zeogold and thanks to brainvision for donation. I actually never played Deus Ex. I know its considered as one of the best in the genre. It should be to cyberpunk games what Blade Runner is to movies or what Neuromancer is to books. Well, now I will give it a nice playthrough (once I get enough free time that is). :)

I'm not the Puzzlemaster, but I liked them. They are quite casual and not really puzzly (does this word really exist?), but the atmosphere is great (especially the one of the first game). Has a certain Twin Peaks vibe.

The games are decent, but I'd have to say that the answer to this:
is no. They're honestly your base-level, generic puzzles, the kind you could find in a dollar store book. Which is just fine if you're not used to 'em, but if you've seen nearly everything they can throw at you as I have, they feel a bit dull and uninspired (this isn't Professor Layton caliber, despite the reviews comparing the two games to one another). The art style to them is neat though, and the story has a spooky sorta mystery feel.
From my understanding, it was originally supposed to be an episodic game with I think 4 episodes (which explains the terribly slow pacing of the first episode and the unsatisfying ending), but they ended up having some sort of time crunch and jammed 3 episodes' worth of content into game #2, which, in my opinion, was a far better result. Game #1 isn't all that great, but #2 is quite fun with a neat story that, at last, ties up all the loose ends in #1.
Speaking of which, if you haven't played #1, let me stress that you DEFINITELY need to do so before playing #2. Wouldn't play #1 without the intention of playing #2 either, they're pretty much linked to one another.

That game is great, like a 2D Deus Ex - you can choose your own approach to every mission, customize your cyberlady with many different augmentations, shaping your playstyle as you see fit, and the plot is intriguing and based on your choices. You can either be a rampaging mad killer or a silent infiltrator, and everything in between. It's awesome, believe me. If you don't own it already, you should really give it a try.

Id be happy to take one of them games off'a yer hands, OP. That is, if you feel i'm worthy of it. :)
