tinyE: My next door neighbor just got busted for running a pot farm.
I thought you closest neighbor was 2 miles away. Should he still be considered a next door neighbor?
avatar
tinyE: For seven years I've been living up here mere yards from a reliable source and when I finally find out about him it's because he's gotten busted!
Just move to Colorado, Washington State, or Alaska and your problems are solved.

more like 1000 yards away. After his place it's 2 or 3 miles to the next place.
Just found out that I will no longer have health insurance starting in January. I have a metric fuckton of health problems, and virtually no money.

Wish I had known about it a little sooner... Or that I lived in a country that gives a tenth of a shit about their citizens.

I'm trying hard and doing the best I can with my life... but seriously... fuck.

In Romania we have health insurance (everyone who works has - you pay like 11% of your income), but many of our doctors suck so much that they'll kill you outright. You get what you paid for I guess. The unfair part is that those who contribute little get the same shitty service as those who contribute a lot.
In other countries like Canada (just over your border) they have like 2 years of waiting lists for a simple CT.. so nowhere is perfect :(

I've been living without health insurance for a long time now. It sucks... It sucks not knowing what is going on with your body.

Good point. Free or cheap usually = shit.

It already sucks that I had to move to Bumblefuck last year, and the closest specialists that I need are over 50 miles away. I can't drive, I don't know anyone here that can drive me, there is no bus, and there is no fucking way I am walking 100 miles in the desert.
We've got like 60 fucking dentists here but not a fucking psychiatrist.
Fuckity fuckerson mcfuck fuck...

Have you tried the rideshare section on craigslist for your area?

After the Craig's List Killers in Ohio, who the hell would want to. I am paranoid about that stuff though.

Strange, I just posted a reply but it never showed up. So I'll try again:

Have you checked to see what programs are offered by your state? When I was working part-time, I was able to get insurance through my state (Pennsylvania). I had to pay $45/month but the coverage was good. I take medication daily and my prescription co-pay was $0.

Pennsylvania is a commonwealth though and I think the couple commonwealth states offer more services like this than other states.

That's a good point. Most states (if not all) offer some sort of general medical assistance program. Some have more than one, and they may include transportation.

Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm looking into federal and state programs that might help.
As for craigslist... I need a psychiatrist before I start riding with strangers. Unfortunately, I need a ride to a psychiatrist... I'm kinda in a loop on that one.

this sux

a week ago my Steam install corrupted, did the whole reinstall of it. Noticed that I suddenly had a game I never had before the reinstall, today I went to install a game, and found I no longer have it in my account :(. So it seems something went awry with steam.

So I've now have:
Galactic Arms Race - which is still not "available" on steam
and lost:
Galactic Civilizations I: Ultimate Edition

So went to open a ticket with steam and saw they ask for a CD Key (Steam Key), spent the last hour, hour & half looking for the Dam key, just not to find it. So all I can guess is that I ninja'd the key and that key is now lost to time immortal.

So I'm going to try my luck and see if steam can "fix" their mistake. me not happy :P

Hmm, this means I'll have to save my keys for further reference. Good to know :(. Sorry about Gal Civ though. It's a good game.
