Tell ya what, no one can say Sonic Mania isn't good value for money! Each time I complete a level I think it must be the last cos there was only 7 slots for chaos emeralds but they just keep on coming!

Lol tell me about it! It was a lot more heartbreaking at the time but I can definitely look back now at it being hilarious. Doing it like 2 seconds after using my last Divine Blessing as well!

It's amazing how quickly I can go from loving Dark Souls to realllly hating it lol. I recorded me playing it today for 2 hours for an episode and accomplished absolutely nothing in that time. I tend to play for as long as I need to get some decent footage/make some progress in the game, but after 2 hours I just couldnt face it anymore lol, I felt like I did nothing but it'll probably make for amusing footage of me running away from bad guys screaming.

I met Solaire, went across the bridge and quickly realised the dragon was making that a no-go.

Found my way to Undead Parish easy enough, stayed away from the giant knight at the top of the tower, went in, cleared the place out, cleared out a place with a bunch of dead easy zombie type dudes, then I come across these guys who are just megaaaa fast and powerful and it's just game over lol. It wouldnt have been so bad if there was just 1 but there's a bunch of them, I tried running and I just seem to come across more and more of them! When I get a hit in on them it does like 1 damage lol, I don't even know what the hell I'm supposed to do but I must be in the right place cos everyone said go to Undead Parish!

I can see why Lost Souls has this reputation... Quite annoying having to restart the level.

I think I will stay away from it. I don't see any reward making it worth all the aggravation it causes.

I can see how some people might feel that way. It can be very annoying at times for sure, but I still find it really fun.

I'm learning quickly it's definitely a lot more about strategy, and figuring out the specific tactics to beat baddies or bosses. Most games like this you can just charge in and bash buttons, heal yourself a bit and you're alright, but there's none of that in Dark Souls, and because of that you get a great sense of achievement when you finally manage to kill a tough boss or whatever.

So each time you die, there's usually something you can learn from it, something you'll do different next time etc. But yeah you HAVE to have patience to be able to play this game imo, I can very easily imagine how some people would rage quit and not go near it again within an hour of starting the game.

If you don't fancy going through all that pain though, you can always watch me do it :p

I wouldnt touch dark souls with a ten foot pole but its pure gold watching someone else suffer thru it :P any chance for a part 4 soon?

Lol glad to provide a service :)

Yeah so tonight's episode is Undertale then tomorrow is another Dark Souls episode.

FYI - Monday is the finale of The Lion King, and the finale of Sonic Mania is this week too I think, then I'll only be down to 2 games (Undertale and Dark Souls) and I think I'm gonna keep it that way for a little while.

I have got a little Halloween themed treat planned for near the end of Oct but otherwise I think I'll stick with 2 games until then which means the new episodes of each game will be a lot more regular/it'll be every other day if I stick to 2 games obviously.
