Lifthrasil: Of course not available in Germany. Stupid German storefront!
I always wanted to ask: Could you use VPN to buy stuff of GOG? I mean Steam can ban you, but what about GOG?

I certainly hope they won't ban you for using a VPN. I have a VPN running all the time for the sake of privacy, and I've bought tons of games here. I'm not trying to fake my location. In fact, I use a server that's located in the same city in which I live.

You automatically get those when you buy ANY Bethesda game here.

That may be because they don't have their own store pages. They seem to be sold only as a bonus to other games.

Now either my sense of how this game looked on the highest settings is off, or the game is displaying the game on low for me when I have ultra selected...any thoughts guys?

EDIT: Found this is a documented issue carried over from the Steam release of the game, and also a fix here:

Link in the text to a dropbox download. Cfg file to replace the one in the game directory. Lord knows why this wasn't addressed before release here but at least there is a work around! :)

Definitely feels like Quake 2 sequel but in Ground Zero or Zaero missionpacks way of progress especially art style, because normal campaign was mostly green and brown. I can recognize enemies equivalents from original but they feel less threatening, maybe it's that AI scalling difficulty to your skill... The only thing I never liked in Q4 is the main protagonist before plot progression and ending outcome. Also your teammates really doesn't feel like you should care or help them, feels like meatbags with barbie Ken faces.

But the download is the exact same thing if I made the cfg file myself, right?
You see, I'm lazy. :P While making the cfg file and copy pasting that script would only take two or three minutes, the download would only take 30 seconds.

Ok, the only way of playing the Linux port with this package now is to get a shady cd-key somewhere from the net, enter it while you're off-line and henceforth only start the game when the system is not connected to the Internet since else the authentication servers are activated and the key will most likely be flagged as "in use / invalid" and you have to do it all again.

This is bad.
Steam users apparently get valid CD-keys:
https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/6w4m1l/quakecon_2017_sale_will_continue_until_29th_august/dm5ljdf

Another case of GOG users treated as second class citizens.

If one bought the game here one could expect to get a valid key.

Has anyone contacted GoG support about getting a valid key?

I don't have Linux so it wouldn't help me any but maybe GoG will get valid keys if there's enough demand.

I think they tolerate it as long as you don't use a VPN to get regional discounts. I.e. if someone from Germany would use a Russian IP to get lower regional prices, that would probably be persecuted. But someone from Germany using a British IP to get indexed games wouldn't be legal either, but seems to be silently tolerated. And buying the games when you actually are abroad (like I do) is legal anyhow.
