Great to have Quake 4 and Doom 3 on GOG! Just one question: is it possible to play multiplayer with this version of Quake 4 (even if we need 3rd party programs to make it work)? Doom 3 BFG Edition can't be played in multiplayer (see store page).
It'd be great to have the original Doom 3 + Resurrection of Evil too.

Quake 4 on Steam doesn't use the client for multiplayer. Regardless from what store ya got. Everyone can play MP.

I actually own it on DVD, but now I can stop worrying about losing the stupid disc. :D

And for those of you not familiar, this is the game that Doom 3 could have and should have been. Quite simply, it is one of the finest shooters EVER.

Grargar: I liked it, but it's not as fast as the older Quake games.

As for the GOG release, does the version implement the fix below from the get-go?

I just bought it and I can confirm that it does not include the fixes to enable Ultra mode. I had to edit the config file by hand.

Still, didn't take much finagling to get it running and looking good. :D
