Be decisive. Be deadly. Be Delta Force.

Delta Force, a series of highly tactical FPSs where your reflexes are as important as your planning, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com! Get them separately for 66% off or grab them all together for 75% off.

In war, sometimes tactics are all you can rely on to pull off that surgical hit which will decide the victor. Delta Force has tactics in spades, from the series' original game to Delta Force 2, Delta Force: Land Warrior, Delta Force: Task Force Dagger, and the intense later entries, Black Hawk Down and Delta Force: Xtreme. That means you must make all necessary preparations and work together with your team of special operatives as you head in and try to assassinate high-profile targets, sabotage enemy equipment, or escort key personnel to safety. Not an easy task, but hey, there's a reason it was assigned to you!

To further enhance your Delta Force experience, we've included some minor fixes, courtesy of the great people over at the NovaHQ community. These do not alter the games in any way -graphically or otherwise- but they do iron out some bugs and offer a fully-functional multiplayer solution via the community servers. This applies to all games except Delta Force: Xtreme.

NOTE: Access to the official NovaWorld lobbies for online multiplayer is currently not available. We're working on resolving this issue and will keep you posted on our progress.

The 66/75% discounts will last until March 27, 2 PM UTC.
Hello. Don't know if it was already written, but how are these games resolutions (especially the older games, like DF1 and DF2)? Do they support only 5:4 or also widescreen? What is the max. resolution for these. Thanks in advance.
I don't understand it AT ALL! This is the weirdest thing I've ever encountered. The mouse only works as it should in fullscreen while I'm recording the gameplay with bandicam?!? (I was trying to record the problem only to find that there is no problem as long as I'm recording) And the game then runs at the framerate at which Bandicam is recording. So I set the recording to a piss poor quality and resolution, and bumped the recording to 50fps. Now the game runs wonderfully and only creates small recordings that I'll periodically delete. Call me Macgyver!

This is really weird... I guess Bandicam did something good ;).*puts on tinfoil hat*.Cheers

tkullander: Yes, Delta Force Xtreme is basically the original Delta Force 1 using the same updated engine that was used for "Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising". The campaigns have been altered to support vehicles, more building that you could enter, and of course a lot fancier graphics. The original Delta Force required a bit of patience, wherein Delta Force Xtreme feels much more arcady than the original. For example, the briefings are simplified, less immersive menus and you even score points for every enemy you kill. In the unpatched game, you even heard a annoying "ding" every time you killed an enemy. Luckily, in the first patch they added an option to remove this sound.

Delta Force Xtreme 2 is a remake of the original Delta Force 2, in the same style as Delta Force Xtreme. It is not very good, but it would be nice to see the complete collection here on GOG.

Matruchus: Thank you for the explanation. I think I will stay with the original Delta Force 1+2 then. Those are the only Delta Force games I played and I really loved them.
You really want to get Black Hawk Down. IMHO the best of the series.

Max DF1 is 1024x768 and DF2 is 1280x960. There is no widescreen res for either. For DF1 and DF2 you need to use something like the player editor to enable the higher res. Search google for "DF1 Player Editor" or "DF2 Player Editor" and click the links to NovaHQ to download them.

I'm over the moon :) I'm going on a nostalgia trip tonight!
This seems disturbingly not like the missing Sierra adventure games I was hoping for. Maybe next week. :p. Enjoy your Delta Force, twitch games.
Bandicam has fps limiter built -in so it might fix some games that are too fast or too slow due to CPU being fast/multicore.
You don't need record movie during that, there's separate option to enable it. Last time it helped a bit in Blade of Darkness, Codename Outbreak so looks like it might help with performance of earlier DF games too. ;p

Senteria: Or play Terraria for infinite fun.

HunchBluntley: Too bad none of GOG's regular Twitch streamers has done much Terraria.
(Spelunky'd be cool, too.)

Oh I do remind them of it from time to time but organising multiplayer streams take a lot of time and requires quite an investment due to people from different time zones, people having full time jobs, kids etc. But I'll pass on the message. If you're interested in multiplayer streams, there's titan quest multiplayer coming on friday evening (US time)

on topic: Anyhow I am glad these classics are brought here. The more good games on gog the better. Speaking about streams, the release streams of Delta Force and Delta Force Extreme are happening in half an hour or so on www.twitch.tv/gogcom

I almost thought I was going to get through this month without buying any more games, I was wrong...
Hmm, I never played these games before. Now I tried Landwarrior and Black Hawk Down but I can't really see much of tactical gamepaly in this shooter. :/
