Encore, encore!

The Bard's Tale Trilogy remastered is now DRM-free on GOG.com.
Fine-tune your lutes, adventurers! 'Tis time to sing again the tales of Skara Brae. The place where evil took hold, nearly extinguishing all life, all hope. That very same place where the legend of the six heroes began, only this time with high-res graphics that maintain the originals' tone, audio for spells and attacks, plus certain quality of life improvements like an automap and tooltip popups, among others.

ikrananka: Well it's only been on GOG for a little over 20 minutes. My guess is that CrowdOx wouldn't start sending out keys until they at least had confirmation from GOG and Steam that the store pages were up and that the games were ready for download.
The database entry has been on GOG since 2018-08-07 so keys could have been generated since then.
Could someone with this game do me a little favor?

Take a throwaway party, go to the Mad God's Temple, and say that the Mad God's name is "burger". I would like to know whether this easter egg is in this version.

(There's a reason I suggest using a throwaway party here.)

LeonKillsAshley: According to the forums on inXile's BT4 site they started sending out codes several hours ago, and we should be receiving our codes soon. I don't understand why they didn't send the codes out much earlier. Seems to defeat the purpose of backing the game if everyone gets the rewards you paid for years ago before you do.
Well, I don't mind. BT classics are a bonus for BT IV backers, not actual goal of the campaign. But I surely would have preferred them to make it sooner.
Nice, and bought.

Nyktouros: Of course, of course, it really needs i5 CPU and 64bit system... Just wait for Tetris Remastered Edition, exclusively for brand new i21 Intel and the World's leading and forever best OS - Windows 10!
Feel free to play it on Linux using Wine (with DXVK possibly, since it requires DX11). I'll try doing it since there is no indication they'll release native Linux version so far.
I had a strange bug:

Starting clicking the "Options" first thing after launching -> crash (tried it multiple time).
Started the game (BT1) once, now everthing is working.

So if anyone else has this problem -> first "new game", then the options menu will work.
Oh, i certainly want this. Will prolly wait for all 3 games though.

Let them iron out any potential bugs while at it as well.

fyi, just tested the game on a device with a celeron from three years ago and a device with an i3 from 2010. both have 4gb ram and intel graphics chipsets. seems to work pretty decent.
The claim for the delay in issuing keys was due to the decision to not do early access and release on GOG and Steam at the same time.

Also they say they will look into Mac Linux once all the announced content is released. So zero guarantee but a possibility.

I'm glad to hear it!
Bought this to play BTIII... Where is it?

Ugh. Why release incomplete games??? Just finish the thing before you release it! I can't refund it now because I downloaded a game called "Trilogy" to actually include all three parts at release.

I think only the first game is out now.

That is true, it may sound strange but thats what game developing is at righ now: win 10 will +++ all old windowss , cause even intel is on it, basically if all parties wanted they could make win 7 and 8 run on todays processors, the thing is they do not want to do that, cause that would 'cost' them billions of dollars.

Fact is Mickeysoft has a new toy and in order to make sure they are not playing all by themselves, they make sure win 7 and win8 will be goners, real goners so all users will have to use win 10.

Basically win 10 is not bad... but with all the stories all over the internet that its more like a spyware with a build in O.S
instead of a o.s with some flaws that might allow spyware, if you read many posts . the majority complaints about the spying, found a few old topis , dated 2 years ago ( 2016) and people were still complaining and replying today on a 2 year old topic, usally old topics die.... but these ones Die Hard or Die even Harder, reading all the text you see that win 10 is in control and only an very small part in win 10 can be 'tweaked' the rest is big brother stuff.

Anywaythis win 10 is gonna be a thing for decades to come.... as for games, well thats easy: seems even a game that looks like lode runner c64 needs a quad core nowadays, to blame are the click and play and drop n drag tools that are used to create games, in the past they wanted to put as much in as small file possible, today we have huge files, 1 gig to even 4 gig, i saw a exe that was 290 MB or more :D

Exe files should be small and use .dll or other resources to get the main game from, Unity has a small exe that uses Unityplayer apparently as the game, the huge resource files contain the graphics and sounds/ videos i guess
Unity also need that folder that is loaded with a bunch of files.

Can you play this with the keyboard only, without using the mouse?
For anyone wondering, the Mac and Linux versions will come once the trilogy is finished, Inxile just said.
