Matruchus: This is actually a very interesting release. I love Star Trek. Hope they got Patrick Stewart in it.

Hm, Judas already answered that :)

Matruchus: Thanks will try it out.

BKGaming: Send me a PM if you got questions or anything, it's somewhat different than Armada 2. You can also check out screenshots on the site, if you want to see what it looks like. The only issue some people have with FleetOps is the Galaxy class is currently not in the game in it's current version, but can easily be added back in via modding or using the map editor. I know lots of people love the Galaxy class.

99% of the game is pretty much new though. ;)
Oh, yes Galaxy class is a must definitely.

Well I can tell you how to add it in the map editor which is the easiest way to add it. :P

I think Galaxy may be a refit though in v4 when that releases.

PixelBoy: Adam West Batman
You mean WHACK! BOFF! KAPOW! Batman? oO

*pours down another bottle of whiskey*
I watched it on Netflix and enjoyed it. Defiantly worth getting for any Star Trek lovers out there.

If you want. :P

Me and my brother love the game... but he likes the Galaxy class, so I use to mod it in, but then I figured out how to open the map editor when playing. Takes less than 2 min doing that because you can add a shipyard that can build it, but kind of feels like cheating in a way. Lol.

Well Ill pm you then if I will need it. Yeah what you described is kinda cheating but why not its a game and sometimes cheating makes it more fun.

PixelBoy: This is why I actually own the floppy version and the box version of Judgment Rites... First I could only find the floppy version, but later managed to get a limited box from eBay (although the VHS was not in the box, unfortunately, not that I ever owned a NTSC VCR, so guess it's not a real problem...).
I got a boxed copy of Judgment Rites via Amazon, for about $25 to $50. Still wrapped in plastic. Odds are that there is a VHS in there, but I figured that I wouldn't tamper with the packaging.

I am thinking about asking SF Debris if he would be interested in examining 25th Anniversary when the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek rolls around...but I have some jitters about that, since $400 bucks is a big wad of cash for me.

PixelBoy: If you don't own TOS and TAS, you don't care about Star Trek that much.

There's a pretty easy way to count whether you like Star Trek or not:

TOS - every season box gives you 100 points.
TAS - season box gives you 80 points.
TNG - every season box gives you 75 points.
DS9 - every season box gives you 50 points.
VOY - every season box gives you 1 point.
ENT - every season box gives you -100 points.

If you get over 400 points, you may call yourself a Trekkie.

(For clarity's sake, I left out movies, because there's no easy way to make a scoring for those...)
Bonus points for Blu-ray vs DVD?
This is available on instant play if you have netflix.

Well
TOS S1-3 DVD: 300
TAS S 1 DVD: 80
TNG S 1-7 DVD & BluRay: 1050
DS9 S 1-7 DVD: 350
VOY S 1-7 DVD: 7
ENT S 1-4 DVD & BluRay: -800
Movies 1-10 (so all movies Star Trek 11 and 12 don't exist for me, hated 11 didn't watch 12 yet and probably will never do) DVD & BluRay: unkown

Gives me a total of 987. But still I'm not so much into TOS (maybe because I grow up with TNG) and I don't understand why you give VOY just 1 Point and ENT -100. Voyager isn't that bad, it has some great episodes and some realy bad but thats the same with all shows. To ENT i got used after the first season after I hated the idea, I wanted to see another series in the 24th century, but the idea turned out to be not that bad. It's still the weakest show but what I read about what was planned in S5-7 it could have tourned around the total rating. They had some real great ideas. And after I first hated the theme of ENT it's now one of my favorite songs (at least the S1+2 version, what they made out of it in S3+4 is cruel).

I'd give Star Trek 11 and 12 -1000 points if you own the DVD or BluRay since I can't stand the remake. Star Trek 11 was a great Science Fiction movie but I hated it as a Star Trek movie. It was too obvious that JJ didn't know anything about Star Trek at all and wasn't into the Franchise before.

So my prefered order is TNG, DS9, VOY, TOS, ENT, TAS.

But pls give us Star Trek games! Whatever I do I can't get Armada to work properly, same with DS9 Dominion Wars, which was one of the most underrated games if you liked DS9. I'd pay 50 € each to get a working version of both of them.
I always said I would never buy any movies off of GOG, but I will get this one...when we get the Star Trek games on here! Judgement Rites and 25th Anniversary are the absolute must-haves. Never got to really play any of the TNG games. LOVED Starfleet Academy. Harbinger was pretty good, and I remember it being a bit scary when I was younger. DS9 The Fallen I did like somewhat, but never finished. The non-Avery Brooks voice for Sisko really bugged me. Elite Force was awesome! The TOS Enterprise mod someone did was really fantastic. All these games getting the voice actors from the show was the absolute best finishing touch. They just wouldn't have been the same without them. It was particularly great that Jeri Ryan recorded voice over after the game came out (I think) and they let you download the files to patch it into the game.

PixelBoy: Actually Judgment Rites should probably score more points, because (IIRC) the voiced version was released only in a limited and numbered special edition box, whereas the 25th Anniversary was released as a normal CD game.

This is why I actually own the floppy version and the box version of Judgment Rites... First I could only find the floppy version, but later managed to get a limited box from eBay (although the VHS was not in the box, unfortunately, not that I ever owned a NTSC VCR, so guess it's not a real problem...).
I actually remember getting a floppy disc expansion for JR called the Movie and Sound Pack that added voices to the base version of the game. I was very impressed by that back in the day, haha. And that limited edition box of Judgment Rites is one of the best gaming-related things that I own. And I wouldn't feel too bad about the VHS. We've all seen City on the Edge of Forever about 500 times already anyways, right? ;) What I regretted most was never getting all the special pins they included, as you only got one per box. I guess I should check ebay.
Hmm.
I played a star trek game once or it was a demo actually.
Cant remember the title but i remember that your task was to go to diffrent places and investigate and such.
Took me a while to not end up in romulan or klingoon space.
Kinda felt like an adventure game really.

Quite annoying ive never finnished or bougth the game.
I watched most of it and had the greatest shock when the mirror universe intro appeared. Youtube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfbsZRbwbJ4

I wish that somebody would make a new Star Trek series but not in the new mirror universe used in the cinema now. It should be the old which much more interesting and not just about brawn.
