It's a shame about "Amazon: Guardians of Eden" and "Countdown".
Both look like games I'd love to play...but the drawbacks mentioned in the reviews (dead ends that can only be "overcome" by loading old save games and/or time (and money?) limits) are big buzzkills for me.

I sure remember Amazon from way, way back when I played it, probably soon after it was released actually, oddly enough. Liked the look and feel of it, back then and as a little kid at least, but yeah, remember needing to do things just right or you'd be stuck. The rescue "vehicle" of choice at the time was DLH, offline, pack of walkthroughs and cheats installed locally, passing floppies hand to hand when someone got an update.

First time I remember seeing such a thing. Then again, it's been quite a while since I regularly checked every news post.
Now we'll have to see if they can remember to do it consistently...

Beware that ECHELON (DOS version) seems to be bugged and unbeatable, I gathered and followed all the hints given and could not finish the game.
(I even found a ZX Spectrum walkthrough online to be sure my hints were correct, but no success)

Unfortunately, DOS games from the 80s (ported from other systems) sometimes are a buggy mess.
For example:
Bombuzal is also unbeatable thanks to some incorrect tiles (I compared it to a SNES version, which has the exact same level layouts). Fortunately you can skip every four levels with passwords, but the last three ou four levels were inaccessible by the same bug (a breakable tile is placed where it should be an unbreakable one), making the game unbeatable.

Wizard's Crown is riddled with bugs, the enemies out of the town are totally unbalanced and ultra hard, it's possible to maximize all your skills early in the game etc.
