apehater: two days ago kings bounty warriors of the north complete did cost 5.99 EUR now its 6.09 EUR and redneck rampage is now 2.49 EUR two days ago it was 2.39 EUR.
avatar
Grargar: That's pretty strange, if you ask me. Especially when the base price is unaltered (€23.79 for Warriors of the North and €4.79 for Redneck Rampage). There must be something funny going on with the discount (74% instead of 75% and 48% instead of 50%).
Yeah it must be the discount cause euro is growing since 8th december in comparison to usd so the price should get corrected downwards in euros next month if the trend continous and not be increased.

apehater: that were only 2 examples, but there are pretty much discount changes and it started today or yesterday. i guess gog changed the discount instead of base price, because they arent able to change the base price during the sale without further problems. but why not just wait till the end of the sale or at least an announcement, its a shitty way to treat customers.
The thing is that none of the undiscounted games are affected. Rocket Ranger still costs €4.79. I really think it's a bug.
Other discounted games are also unaffected.

I think the price of the flat-priced games is fixed (there has only one price update by now). The price of the regional priced games changes more often (depending on currency conversion).

ok lets i hope its a bug and that it'll be fixed tomorrow. is the strange 50% discount for banner saga 2 days ago already confirmed as a bug?

it was a 75% discount during the first appearances in the flash sale

I'm not sure if it was a bug. It seems to have been a 50% discount for everyone.

the 50% discount was only on the 4th appearence, on the first 3 appearances it was a 75% discount for every one. so the reason for discount change is still unknown. did this happened to a game on one of the last flash sales?

There was a small discount change for Heroes of Annihilated Empires, from 80% to 75%.
Gog, why do you keep raising prices in rubles? Now its cheaper to buy in USD currency, eh..

I can't really say that, as I haven't noticed it happening in other games. Seem to be isolated cases.

Not necessarily.

On day #1 of the sale, Age of Wonders 3 Deluxe cost 40c more than it does now when it appears on the Flash sales.

My guess is a rounding bug. The first day discount was rounded down to 66%, now it's rounded up to 67%.

Generally speaking, GOG is very dependable. If there is a potential for a bug, you can be pretty certain that it will appear on GOG at some point.
