Both Downloaders now have the option of sending Error Reports directly to us (this can be found in app under Settings).

tautologico: Unless I'm missing something very obvious, I can't login in the Downloader, either in the stable or the beta versions. I open the downloader and there doesn't seem to be a way for me to configure my login information. There's a "login" display in the lower right corner of the window but it's not clickable.

Same here! Was hoping to be able to play Legend of Grimrock....maybe GOG servers are over loaded? Although looking at other posts this seems to have been a problem for at least a few hours now.

Getting constant .net errors with the downloader. Didn't start happening until after I used the downloader to open the folder location of the Might and Magic series that I just downloaded. Will add the error next time it pops up.

The backend API may be down, which could be why we cant even be presented with a login (may try to check for a valid connection first).

Hopefully we will get an official response soon but dont forget Gog are based in europe and it is currently 7am at GMT 0.

The oncall sys admin must have slept through his alerts.

I also get the same error on occasion..usualy when the downloader is minimised. My net framwork is up to snuff with the latest version so I am not sure what is causing the error.

To everyone who had problems logging in. There were some API problems and our IT guys have fixed this. Everything should be back to normal. Sorry for the inconveniences. Also the updated version (which will be released soon) will be presenting some messages in the status bar when connection problems occur, so everything should be handled appropriately.

The downloader will WER crash if at the same time I'm getting a "Failure to connect to server" error from any or all of GOG.com.

Hello,
I cannot download my games using gog donwloader using Firefox, I can download it via IE, but I am not using it actually. Is there a way this problem can be fixed? Firefox always says something like "connection problems" .

Of course! :)
Silly Firefox keeps his own settings and omits the ones found in the Registry.
Please go to Firefox -> Options -> Options -> Applications and find "gogdownloader". Either remove it, or change the setting to default. Restart downloader. Should work fine now.

Having issues downloading games with 3.1.
Click link in games list. Nothing happens.
Eventually (hours later), the downloads begin... later still, all the other attempts to download the same file start to flow through.

Can we please get some rolling releases?
It's getting frustrating having a partially broken 3.1, and an inferior (and still broken) 3.0.

The updates are coming, we're still testing them internally, to avid releasing buggy versions.

The beta downloader is occasionally misreporting download speeds if you maintain over 4mb/s while the file continues to download at that the reported speed is in the low hundred kb/s

predcon: I think technically this whole new Downloader system is "beta", and v3.0.25 is an older RC, if you want to equate it that way.

Whatever, I don't really care what release channel they're considered to be in.
My point is that the x button should close the app, not minimize it to the tray. But if it's necessary to asign it that function, then at least make an option in Settings that allows you to change this behavior.
So, if the x button of v.3.1.0 still works the same way as in v.3.0.25, I'm requesting the option to change its behavior to be added in Settings.

I saw it mentioned somewhere on the forums, but is there any concrete news on making sure the downloader finishes the job (downloads the last package) and no longer needs to be restarted for the merging to occur?
