An event like this happens only once a year – our Anniversary!

We’ve been here for 17 years; that’s quite a lot of time of making games live forever! For this occasion, we prepared something special: even though it’s our birthday, you’re the one getting gifts. Visit our store every day for a surprise!

And of course, here’s some of the deals:
Cyberpunk 2077 (-65%)
Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition (-60%)
Heroes of Might and Magic® 3: Complete (-50%)
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition (-80%)
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Gold Edition (-35%)
Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition (-25%)
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon (-10%)

…and more!

Anniversary ends on October 7th, 7 AM UTC. Check it out!

CthuluIsSpy: Nier Automata and Dark Souls are probably a little tricky because of the online component.
Whilst Automata is mostly a single player game there is a very important sequence at the end that does require access to servers, iirc.
Removing it would take away a good chunk of the gravitas and overall theme of that section.

And Dark Souls is a multiplayer game that just happens to have content that can be done solo.

So unless GOG finds a way to negotiate with Bandai and Squeenix to let them use their servers AND not have DRM, it's probably not going to happen.

Something like Bayonetta though? That should be doable, I don't think there's any critical feature that needs an online connection.

ByYiro: I played Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne and Sekiro full offline, so I don't think this statement is correct (Dark Souls 2 is closer to be a multiplayer focused game, but not at all). And the last part of Nier Automata is easily fakeable, if I understood what you meant
You can play it offline, but a lot of the content is still designed for online play in mind.
Similar to how Space Marine has a offline single player campaign, but most of the content was designed around multiplayer. Space Marine without multiplayer feels lacking.

In theory GOG could just give Dark Souls the Space Marine treatment and strip away the online components, but given that Dark Souls got it's community from it's online systems and that it was designed around invasions and phantom summons I don't think that would be doing the game justice.

ciemnogrodzianin: No surprise box for today or it's just delayed?

cosevecchie: delayed:
First time they are adding this label, isn't it?

Still "A slight delay. Sorry!"... The next step will be removal of "slight" word from the message ;)

It must be a giveaway!

ngl the delay announcement was more exciting than the actual thing

A discount on Cyberpunk tat? Couldn't even manage a discount on the game itself huh?

Slow down GOG, you're spoiling us.

Giveaway? That seems to be a thing of the past!

We didn't get any freebie during the Summer Sale.

If it was The Witcher merch at least... the Cyberpunk gadgets just aren't very appealing. But at least it's something I guess.

I'm wondering if something else was planned for today and something happened to that. Why a delay with a discount for merchandise?

Maybe the merch shipment got stuck in traffic.

If there is no news, only with the Tomb Raider games has been a good anniversary. More surprises are welcome nevertheless. :-)

Are the sale prices going to be active until the last day? I have a small cart full of things but I want to be sure I don't end up buying something that gets given away. :p
